Welcome and congrats on the pregnancy, meeggaannw!
Hope your recovery goes well, namastebiotches. Once you guys get more into geocaches, try placing some trackables in the caches. My dad does that and it is so fun to see how far they can travel.
teraiin, Both my boys didn't love the carriers until they had more neck control... maybe 2-3 months? Maybe your DS will be like them.

Recent milestones: Started smiling a few weeks ago and has started laughing in her sleep. Only a matter of time before she laughs when she's awake!
Recent challenges: She's been really fussy lately and refusing to sleep. I would think growth spurt, but I don't know.
What are you doing to stay busy/or for fun? Not a lot. We do a lot of napping and laying in bed still.
How are YOU doing? Doing alright. Need to work on getting more sleep to make sure I stay out of the hospital, but so far we're still safe.
Have questions/need advice? Nope. Not at the moment.
To Do's: Laundry and dishes. Always.
GTKY- What is your favorite summer activity to do with kids and without kids? Go for walks and bus rides to random places, without the kid I like to take long baths with a bottle of wine.
How long you've been staying at home:This time, almost 2 months. Previously I'd been home for 11 months, went back to work for 4 months and decided it was not working and returned to staying home.
Age(s) of your LO(s): 8 and 3
Recent milestones: DD2 was potty trained
Recent challenges: DD2 regressed and is no longer potty trained We're working on it though, today as gone pretty well so far.
What are you doing to stay busy/or for fun? We just started 2 weeks of daily swim lessons for DD1. DD2 enjoys it too, they have a air conditioned viewing area with kids books and fish tanks, so far she's been entertained. We've been spending a lot of time in the backyard with the kiddie pool and sprinkler and inside with crafts. It's too hot to do much else!
How are YOU doing? I'm doing ok. I feel some resentment and am a little upset over having to leave my job again. I wasn't entirely happy there but DH's work hours and commute made it very difficult for me to work in that particular job because of my own hours and location and I basically felt I had no choice but to quit. While I enjoy staying home with the kids, I feel sort of like I didn't have a choice and it was also a bummer to give the income up, again. After a year of being on a tighter budget, we'd started having plenty of money again when I went back to work and having that stop again abruptly has been a hard thing to deal with. I have the usual complaints, lack of me time, always exhausted...but I do value this time I'm getting with the girls. I'm also a little stressed over being able to afford preschool for DD2 and I have a plan to save, but it feels a little daunting right now.
Have questions/need advice? Has anyone dealt with regression or refusal to potty train with a 3 year old? How did you handle it and help your child?
To Do's: Get through the 2 weeks of swimming, try and stay on top of the housework, come up with some new recipes for healthier eating. Rest.
GTKY- What is your favorite summer activity to do with kids and without kids? Hmmm, I'm honestly not a big fan of summer. Heat, bugs, blah. I guess I'd have to say gardening, for both.
Scratch that. I just spent more than an hour ripping out my beloved Zucchini plants because stupid Squash Borers got them. I'm so disgusted and frustrated. I loved that zucchini! Right now I'm not liking Gardening one bit!
How long you've been staying at home: I never know how to answer this. I've varied from working FT for a bit to not at all for a bit and everywhere in between and back and forth ever since my LO was born.
Age(s) of your LO(s): Going on 5yo this fall. Recent milestones: Not sure last actual milestone because they are spread out more at this age. Maybe it was reading his first word legitimately. Can't recall if there was another milestone hit between then and now.
Recent challenges: The usual: sleepwalking.
What are you doing to stay busy/or for fun? Outings to all sorts of places, either the two of us, as a family, or with friends. At home: games, playing with toys, playing outside (sports, bikes, water activities, etc), projects, etc. We stay busy for sure.
How are YOU doing? Good. Have questions/need advice? Nope.
To Do's: Too much. GTKY- What is your favorite summer activity to do with kids and without kids? I too am not a huge fan of summer (the hot days anyway). LO and I recently started having water fights, so that is our newest fun summer activity we have been enjoying lately. Without kids, there isn't really a specific-to-summer activity, so I'll say... Hmmm... Well, this is tougher than expected because LO is old enough where he can be involved in my hobbies (and others I can do while he doing his own thing near by) and he can do other activities and whatnot with me (or with me and MH), so I guess that just leaves spending some one-on-one time with MH.
I haven't been super active (I really just don't know what to talk about since it seemed most people here had older babies/kids. Happy to see more infant moms joining!) but I suppose I should check in.
How long you've been staying at home: 5 months
Age(s) of your LO(s): 5 months
Recent milestones: Sits well unsupported, doing well with solids, getting better coordinated with grabbing and playing with toys.
Recent challenges: The last week or so has been a problem for sleep.
What are you doing to stay busy/or for fun? Oh the typical baby things.. we play on the floor quite a bit, he loves his jumper, we get out for walks and check out the farmers market and such when we can.
How are YOU doing? Fine. Nothing exciting, nothing terrible.
To Dos: Deep clean the house. (Will this ever happen? Probably not.) Get up to date with his baby book and photos.
