What are your thoughts on the QOTW? I'm feeling like I need some ideas for more religion oriented questions. If you like the QOTW as is do you have any suggestions for more questions? PM or post them! Or I could change the QOTW to a get to know you question and save the other topics to possibly help encourage other threads on the board?
Vents: Just a little pissy about my aunt posting a picture of her posing with my cousin and her new baby in the family christening gown. She used the hashtag #three.generations and it irked both me and my sister because we will never have a picture like that with my mom.
QOTW: As long as the raised my child to be a respectful and contributing member of society I wouldn't care.
AW/Vents/Encounters: No specific encounters this week, just some observations. I think I mentioned on here that we have been looking for a house (we found one!!). We looked a lot of houses in a few different and and it seemed like every house we saw had your choice of church within 5 minutes. You might have to look hard for a gas station or grocery store, but not a church.
QOTW: We have not appointed one yet partly because religious differences. All of my family and DH's family are very very religious. Turn down events because they HAVE to go to church on Sunday morning, pray before all meals, believe that their life is fully planned out by a God type religious. It makes me sad to think of DD growing up like that. I think I need to work on moving past it because I know she would be well loved and have a wonderful life with any family member we chose. The sad nature of the topic is also probably contributing to me wanting to not make a decision.
AW/Vents/ Encounters this week: Nothing really, at least not related to religion haha.
QOTW: Inspired by the BMB (looking at you O15 ladies ). Would religion impact who you would plan to appoint as your child's legal guardian should something happen to you? It depends on how religious they are, I suppose. Or rather, do they impose it on other people/assume others share the same beliefs? At this point, most of the people we would consider as guardians are not very religious. I assume they're agnostic or atheist, but we never really talk about it.

Vents/AW/Encounters: Through some events of the playgroup/preschool DD goes to I met some other parents who are in the process of enrolling their kids for elementary. It always weirds me out a bit if people preferences only include the religious schools. It is not weird at all, we prefer a non religious school for being closer to our own beliefs, it makes total sense for religious people to do the same. I guess it means I don't think of the people I encounter as religious.
QOTW: we haven't appointed guardians (I know we should) but luckily both mine and DH's sister are as secular as we are. If one of them was religious and loving and kind and the other secular and a total b*tch or a bad parent, I think we'd prefer the kind one.

What are your thoughts on the QOTW? I like them but have no suggestions
AW/Vents/ Encounters this week: none I don't think
QOTW: Inspired by the BMB (looking at you O15 ladies ). Would religion impact who you would plan to appoint as your child's legal guardian should something happen to you? Oy, I don't want to think about this. lol but I think yes it would impact on who to leave that with although our family is not that religiously hardcore. If there was a family that was very religious, I would probably not choose them honestly
