judyblume14, I didn't wear underwire after giving birth to DD for 6 months or so. It was glorious!
heybulldog56, Good luck with everything! Praying for good news from both you and your pups tests.
My boss wasn't supposed to be here today. I double checked the calendar and everything yesterday before I left the office. He is here. WTF man?! Why are you messing with my emotions like this? Also, I had mexican food for lunch yesterday. I plan on having it again today for lunch. And tonight I am meeting my family for dinner at a mexican food restaurant. Can you tell I am having some strong cravings? Haha!

ashtog looking to go to Cape May. I hope Liam feels better soon.
So I am looking at menus for restaurants in Cape May so many sound so good. I'm hungry and my lunch suddenly seems boring. I sent an email to H with a few places to stay so I hope by this week we can have something booked.
I have a weird view on here for some reason and can't LT.
PSA - LovesMeSomeCake 's question on nursing bras yesterday made me think of this. Ladies who plan to breastfeed - you may want to avoid underwire bras when your milk comes in. The pressure the wire puts against your boobies can lead to plugged ducts. Trust me, you want to do everything you can to avoid that. from kellymom's website about risk factors for poor milk drainage: "Look for anything that results in consistent pressure on the breast tissue — this can block milk flow and lead to plugged ducts. See if you can associate any of the following things with the location of the plug(s): Are you sleeping on one side or on your stomach a lot? Do you carry a heavy purse or bag on one side? Are you carrying the baby in a front carrier or sling? Do you wear an underwire bra that presses in one area? Are you wearing any type of bra that does not fit well? Do you wear a sleep bra that stays pushed up or to the side for much of the time at night? Are you wearing constrictive clothes?"
My OB appointment is today! I'm gonna talk to them about my disaster of a glucose test yesterday and try and see if I can test my sugars at home myself for a few days to see where I'm at. I have to go to work afterwards since I have outprocessing stuff to do, but if it is anything like yesterday, I won't be in long.
I'm super nervous about my appointment. I'm not sure why.

DD naps everyday at 11. She has been in her crib since 11 but no nap. She has been talking and rolling around for almost two hours. I have no idea what this means for the rest of the day.

meeggaannw , our dogs must have got the same memo - I got up and duct taped all of his tags together, and then he was running in his dream and would tap the wall with his nails...DH of course, didn't hear a thing.
heybulldog56 , that MaterniT21 test wait almost killed me. Website says 5 days, my Dr. waited 12.
rinny , I can see myself doing that in the near future. you handled it so well
so jealous since I can't find a prenatal yoga class! I'm going to see a personal trainer at work tomorrow and see if we can figure out a plan together. I am in need of more flexibility!
Also, in weird pregnancy cravings, I cannot get enough PB&J sandwiches. I wouldn't eat them as a kid, and in the last 5 days I've had 6. I made one for lunch but I ate it on the way in to work, I'm going to have to bring supplies in to work.
judyblume14, What sort of working out do you do at the gym?
inomniaparatus, I'm sorry to hear about your insurance. Will it be discontinued before your due date?
peaseblossom55, Feel better and hooray for vacation planning!
rinny, LOL! At least you didn't miss it entirely by thinking it was after it actually was!
ellabee, I'm sorry to hear about your DD's pedi. Hopefully you can find another good one!
ashtog I'm sorry your kid is still sick. I hope he kicks it soon.
judyblume14,'s story about getting the date wrong for her DD's two week appointment reminded me how much I loved the stroller that went along with our bucket seat. It was just a base and all you did was click the car seat in and go about your business. It was great and allowed me to do so much while DD slept or chilled in her car seat. No disruption from car to stroller at all!
meeggaannw, At least your DD has been happy in the crib! I hope she isn't super cranky the rest of the day.
Today has been a good day around here! After breakfast DD and I went to Starbucks so I could get a coffee, then we went to the toddler playground for a bit. We also went to our first story time of the summer and it was really fun! The library also had a train table, so we stayed and played there for a bit afterwards. It was only a ten minute drive home, but she fell asleep in the car. Luckily I was able to successfully transfer her to the crib. Now I'm just relaxing and planning on taking a nap soon.

jrun2013 yep, it will be discontinued on Dec 31 of this year and my due date is Jan 12. In my initial panic, my first plan was bribe my doctor to induce me before the end of the year, but I've come to my senses since then. His office won't bill until I deliver but I'm going to ask them if they could possibly bill early since they like to be paid for my OOP piece by 32 weeks and then it would just be figuring out if the hospital itself will take the new insurance being offered by my employer or look into possibly switching onto DH's plan if his is accepted by both doctor and hospital

Ugh LovesMeSomeCake, almost two weeks? I don't think I can'do it! They told me one week but... I don't really believe them. Ugh, I just need to know NOW.

My results for the nipt I forget what brand it was took about a week and half with July 4th in there. The blood work was done on a Monday. The results were in on the following Wednesday got called on Thursday.
inomniaparatus they are discontinuing your insurance 12 days before your due date!?! That shit is not okay. Is this your work that is doing this? Is there anyone you can talk to about this? I'm really sorry to hear that.

I was struggling so much this morning I finally ran out and grabbed Starbucks. It's amazing how good caffeine makes you feel! Customers make me eye roll less, I can actually take them to the right loaner the first time. It's great. But I must still look like shit because one of the sales people asked how I was feeling and when I told her I was feeling really well, she said she didn't believe me because I'm pasty. So that's cool.

jrun2013 they are discontinuing the HMO (my current plan) in an interest to save money and have a three-tiered ONA option (couldn't tell you what ONA stands for). The three tier approach was introduced two years ago and I looked into downgrading to it then but my OB was not on the list of accepted providers so I've been paying more for the HMO all this time. I called in and web chatted with two people in our Benefits center and I was not impressed by either. The full details of the changes and plans haven't been released yet, so I'm still hoping that maybe my OB has accepted the ONA plans since their initial introductions and that I'm worrying for nothing
Morning. I didn't sleep well again. I am tired, physically and emotionally. We took a sample of dog's pee to the vet last night (we were worried she had a uti due to the number of accidents she's had over the last two days). The technician was worried about all the "stuff" in her urine so we are taking her to the vet for blood tests and X-rays. It could be a number of things but among them are kidney or liver disease. Between this and the anxiety of waiting for my MaterniT21 results, I am drained and not optimistic about anything. Sorry to be such a downer...
We found out our 2yr old corgi (our first one) had severe kidney failure after they decided to run the bloodwork they originally weren't going to do because she was so young (she needed to get an abcessed tooth out). It was the worst phone call I'd ever received. And of course, everything makes sense in hindsight but I was devestated. I really hope everything turns out alright for you guys!
So embarrassing. I am at the vet and I started crying when they took my dog back for blood work. They must think I am supremely unstable.
No no no. They deal with that all the time from all sorts of people. Are pets are a big deal to us and while I dislike the term that they're like children, they're pretty close.

mrsdee1982, DD is an S14 baby. I've worn a bra less than a dozen times since her birth. Keep enjoying your Mexican yummies!!! tex, good luck! LovesMeSomeCake, Pretty Little Liars. Also, I go to regular yoga classes. A good instructor will give you modifications for pregnancy. jrun2013, I do crossfit. Also, it never crossed my mind to break out the stroller in situations like that. First-time-momming is so hard! I know better now. Strollers can be lifesaving.

ashtog sorry Liam is still so sick. Best wishes that he feels better soon
LovesMeSomeCake wearing bras without underwire was really weird for me post-pregnancy, I've been wearing underwires since I was 10 and grew C cups. But there are some out there that are decently supportive, even for big breasts. Also, Nordstrom will convert any existing bra to a nursing bra for you. I've gone back to underwires at work since I quit pumping in January: still nursing at home and no clogs or mastitis so far!
heybulldog56 I hope your pup is okay! Also for the Harmony test my doc said it would take two weeks, but I sent it in the Friday before July 4 so I'm expecting it to take another few days.

Nausea was better yesterday but fairly bad again today. I'm so over it.
One of my twitter friends is due March 17 and keeps posting soup photos/recipes and now I want soup even though it's going to be like 95 degrees today. I craved soup like crazy when pregnant with my son but it's too hot for that.
{Warning, dog bodily fluid grossness}I stepped in dog vomit/bile this morning with my bare foot! I went to put the tray back on DS high chair and the puddle was hiding behind the kitchen table in the dark. Thankfully it was just liquid with some grass pieces. But still. EW. Not how I wanted the morning to start.
thelittleredm How rude of your coworker! I agree, caffeine is fantastic!
inomniaparatus if your on isn't covered by your new plan I don't think it's the worst idea to ask to be induced a little early. Not the best thing in the world, but these seem like extenuating circumstances. Otherwise could you find a new OB now who takes both your current plan and the new one?
