How many weeks pp are you? 6 and cleared for take off
What are you doing to stay active? I've only been walking but I plan to try running once this week. I also want to start some core and weights.
What's your health and fitness goal? I have twenty pounds to lose and I want to see some tightening of the jiggly belly and arms. I am getting a lot more strict on my diet and I want to cut out sweets (like the cookies and ice cream here and there).
How are you doing mentally? I'm tired this week from lack of sleep and I've raised my voice a couple times with ds1. I'm feeling very guilty about it and I'm making an extra effort to keep my cool and talk it out instead of yelling. Talking is way more effective with a two year old.
Anything else? It's go time! I Have a wedding in October which is my goal time frame to lose 10 pounds.

How many weeks pp are you? Almost 5
What are you doing to stay active? Very little. I walk the dog. Sometimes I do floor exercise things during tummy time. I have to think that bouncing on the ball with E or climbing up and down the stairs with him (he likes this) are things I can call "active"?
What's your health and fitness goal? Running again, muscle tone again, nice clothes again
How are you doing mentally? I feel like I look pretty good for 5 weeks out, which is nice. But I wear tanks/t-shirts and stretchy shorts or pants all the time. And I'm tired. I work on patience and perspective and cutting myself some slack but sometimes I do not have.
Anything else? I read the title of this and thought, "LOL, exercise." My OB checkup is next week, and I hope being "cleared" inspires me.
I guess I'll join in. Need to lose the last of the baby weight
How many weeks pp are you? 7 weeks today
What are you doing to stay active? Went on a hike with the kids today. Other than that, we go on short walks in town. I'm hoping to get back into my yoga routines soon as well.
What's your health and fitness goal? Get back to PP weight. And then maybe lose 10 more pounds.
How are you doing mentally? I have good days and bad days. The transition to two kids is tough.
Anything else? I've been cleared for a week and still have no desire to try pp sex. DH has been ready, but he's been working late days lately so no pressure there.
What are you doing to stay active? I am running or walking every day along with 4 days of strength training
What's your health and fitness goal? Get to pre pregnancy weight then back down to my happy weight so 8 more after. I really just want my pants to fit.
How are you doing mentally? Good. Better than after my first. The nights are long but I know this doesn't last forever.
Anything else? I am trying to meet up with friends to work out which helps. Also my husband is super supportive.

I'm 8 weeks PP
I'm 2 weeks into an 8 week long 5k training program which is a combination of jogging and interval runs, 4 workouts per week. On "off" days I'm doing a 2.5 mile walk, usually organized as part of a local mom's group. Last weekend DH and I brought the baby on his first hike, which was 3.5 miles and was great! I'm planning on doing that every weekend we can, and add mileage and/or difficulty.
I'm running a 10k in October. I want to feel strong again.
I'm feeling much better mentally since I've been able to be active again. I felt like a million bucks on top of that mountain! Hiking is such a big part of who DH and I were pre-baby, so getting back out there has been so important to both of us.

How many weeks pp are you? 4 weeks
What are you doing to stay active? Just walking with the dog and the baby. Mad said I could do light weights, which I have done here and there, but I'm kind of nervous it's too soon with the c section healing!
What's your health and fitness goal? I can't wait to get back into running with the goal of running with the jogger. Also I want to get back into strength training.
How are you doing mentally? Mentally I feel pretty good. I'm only a few pounds off my pre pregnancy weight, but am positive that I've lost a lot of muscle....need to get that back!!

I'm 4 weeks so still no all clear to exercise.
I'm currently walking every weekday with LO in the stroller. Yesterday we did 2 miles but it's usually just 1.
I'd like to get in better shape before going back to work so I have a good rhythm and feel motivated to keep it up. I'd also like some clothes to fit. I've lost all the pounds from this of but nothing fits.
Mentally I'm doing good. I'm glad I still have two months of leave left.
What are you doing to stay active? Taking care of 3 kids is exhausting and really the only way that I'm being active. Does keeping my eyes open count as exercise?
What's your health and fitness goal? I want to get back into running again, but I probably won't start that until after Christmas. I want to be able to fit back into my pre-pregnancy pants. I'm hoping to go for more walks in the Fall once DS1 is in school and I can take DD and DS2. It's hard with all 3 kids.
How are you doing mentally? Better. I was pretty anxious about being alone with all 3 kids while DH went back to work, but we survived and I'm feeling less anxious. I'm trying to just take things day by day and I find going outside is good for my mental health.
Anything else? I'm super impressed by those of you already exercising and going for runs. I'm nowhere near ready, but I'm happy for those of you that are doing it!
How many weeks pp are you? I'll be 2 weeks on Friday
What are you doing to stay active? I lift. Chocolate to my mouth.
What's your health and fitness goal? I plan to start doing a cross fit type program that we have at my office once I go back to work in late October, so my goal is to be in shape enough to actually participate in that without embarrassing myself. I hope to start short walks (dr at the hospital said no walks but come on.) this week and then once I'm cleared for exercise I'll step it up.
How are you doing mentally? Doing okay, I still look pregnant but I'm trying to have faith that I won't forever.

mymilkshake, I'm the same way with feeling the loss of muscle! I'm close to my pre-pregnancy weight but I have a naturally very muscular build and that's changed considerably.
GOmamab15, haha you made me laugh with lifting chocolate to your mouth And I think it's fine to walk 2 wks PP if you feel up to it after an uncomplicated vaginal delivery. I was walking after less than a week - slowly, for sure, but I think it really helped my recovery.
amiet79, glad you're feeling less anxious! 3 kids must be so much work - you're amazing!

How many weeks pp are you? 6w tomorrow
What are you doing to stay active? I'm on week 3 day 5 of bikini body mommy 6 week challenge. They're 20 min work outs that I can usually fit into nap time. It's too darn hot to do anything outside which I'm finding super depressing
What's your health and fitness goal? Fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes. I'd love to lose the 20 lbs of pregnancy weight I'm carrying around (although 5-10 lbs of that are these ridiculous breast feeding boobs)
How are you doing mentally? Great for the most part
Anything else? anyone with recommendation for sports bras that will keep me from getting slapped in the face? I feel like to fit boob-wise the band is too big and if the band fits there's no way I can stuff my boobs in. I haven't been measured PP but I was a 34G at the end of pregnancy. It's making cardio challenging
What are you doing to stay active? Not much...yet.
What's your health and fitness goal? Get down to healthy weight, before babies.
How are you doing mentally? Depends on the day, time of day, level of sleep deprivation. Pretty good overall, but I have my moments.
Anything else? I've started a low sugar diet. Today is day 5. The scale is down a few pounds, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. I am definitely in the throes of sugar detox. I want to set myself up for success, so I'm just concentrating on eating for now. I'll probably start a 30 challenge next week and hopefully some cardio after vacation. Plus it's too damn hot to takes walks outside.
