It's Friday and the weekend is here! I'll start off since I have a random. How do you ladies wash your LOs hair while giving them a bath? I find it difficult to do since I have to hold her body and head up. That doesn't leave a hand free to wash and rinse hair. I usually wait until DH is home and he holds her body while I wash her hair.
bgkc4 we also have a sling that I have used when I am alone, but DH and I also mostly do baths together. DD loves baths so it is a fun bonding experience for the three of us! Even our dog sits in the bathroom with us, but right by the door in case we get any funny ideas about throwing her in the bath! 😉

Eta how are you feeling??
I'm much better today. Thank goodness and thanks for asking:)

so good to hear!
I also manage hair washing only because of the mesh sling.
I started my morning early at 5 with a walk around the lake. Dog is happy, I'm done with my exercise and baby went back to sleep. Win win win. My cousins family is coming today for the weekend. They are based in Italy right now and are coming to the Midwest for a wedding. Her travel route just happens to go through my town so I get to see them it'll be a full house with their 10 year old twins and dog.
We use this foam froggy thing in the bath that the baby lays on on the floor of the tub with just a little bit of water in it. She doesn't move anywhere at the moment so I'm able to wash but I could also probably do it with one hand still on her.
I took the baby to the pediatrician yesterday with my eating and fussiness concerns and he said it could possibly be silent reflux, I didn't even mention that specifically but he came to that conclusion as well, so we started Zantac yesterday. While I wish she didn't have reflux, I am kind of hoping this is the problem so at least we can help her.
It's my sister's wedding shower tomorrow so I'm helping with a lot of things to get ready for that but it should be a nice day. We've had a lot of showers, weddings and celebrations in our family in the past 5 years so I'm glad one of them is finally for her! DH is keeping the kids at home but will join us later at my parent's house so we can all hang out afterwards. Sunday I think I might take DS to the zoo.

We have DSs one month appointment today then I'm meeting my work friends for lunch so they can meet LO. Not sure what we are doing this weekend. Probably just hang around the house and maybe go to a local amusement park for a few hours.

We went to the photographer's studio today to order our newborn and family pictures. I can't wait to get them! We don't have too much planned for this weekend. I have some laundry and other things to do to get ready to go back to work on Monday.

bgkc4 I make sure to get everything ready including soap on the wash cloth before I start and I just hold him by the back of the head/neck and let the rest of his body kind of float. That way I have 1 hand free. He loves bath time so he just relaxes in there. I don't know how it would work with a baby that doesn't like bath time.

My random is DS1 (21 months) loves to help out with DS2. His favorite thing recently is to hold the baby. So he sits on the couch we wrap the boppy around him and he "holds the baby". Today he asked to hold baby and I said ok. He sits down I put baby in his lap and next thing I know DS1 is lifting his shirt saying eat eat eat. 😂 haha
We use the mesh thing in the baby bath as well. DD1 likes to pour water over DD2 so it's good to have extra hands so DD2 doesn't get a ton of water in her face.

My family comes into town Sat night. So starts 2 weeks of houseguests in the middle of which I have to go back to work. I'm exhausted already and trying to soak up all the baby snuggles. Plus I have to clean and do laundry
csat I hope the Zantac helps! I noticed a big difference after a couple doses so hopefully it is the same for you!
Today was going really well. We went to the library and then as soon as we got back to the parking lot they both lost it. DD1 was sad because we had to give the stuffed dog we checked out from the library back and DD2 started screaming about being in the car seat. I took her out and everything but as soon as she had to go back in she started crying again. She screamed almost the whole way home. I felt so bad and she was so sweaty when I took her out which it's not that hot today and the car AC was on. She probably got hot and upset about that too. I cracked the window because I remember that working with DD1 and it calmed her down thankfully. She then slept when we got home until I fed and got DD1 down and is up now. No break here but at least she slept long enough to accomplish those things. 2 is hard!
Had my six week appointment today. I had to get a pap because it's been over a year. My tear is still a little sore, so that plus the speculum... The OB was quick, but it wasn't very pleasant. I might also have a minor infection that is causing some irritation. But she said they wouldn't have a result for a week. That seems like a long time to leave a vaginal infection alone, even if it is minor? Hopefully if I do have one, it doesn't get worse.
ILs just came over with two of DH's aunts. I used that time to get a cupcake order done. Some friends are bringing dinner over later. It's so hot and humid today though, and the kids will want to swim, but it will probably be too hot for me to bring DS outside, not to mention kind of uncomfortable for me too!

Thanks birdhut, she's had an awesome morning, 3 doses so far. I could actually put her down places and she was content which is a huge improvement on its own. I'm being cautiously optimistic, I hope this continues, I seriously lost it mid week.
Oh and my friend is bringing Vietnamese food over for lunch and we will assemble wedding shower favors. I'm starving for food and adult interaction so this is great!

birdhut 2 is really hard! Sorry it was a rough afternoon for you. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day!
vivela that sounds unpleasant. Hopefully no infection!
Kevinmac I feel you on not wanting to go out in the hot humid weather and watch everyone go swimming! DH wants to go to the lake this weekend and I'm all set since I can't go swimming! Watching everyone else swimming and being refreshed while I sit stewing in my own sweat just doesn't sound like a good time to me.

Between here and FB, I will have posted a lot about tv today... but I just can't get the Sofia the First theme song out of my head!! Batty over here.
This is the last weekend before our big road trip, so I'm trying to plan and get things done. Thankfully DS has been slightly better in his carseat lately, because I was getting pretty nervous.
