I'm probably jinxing myself, but does anyone want to help me while away a TWW? We have a lot of criteria for names that makes it tricky, and we could never agree on a boys name. Here are the rules:
1. Nothing from the Bible, or really any religious name.
2. Nothing with a default nickname, e.g., David --> Dave, Andrew --> Andy, etc.
3. Something that's fairly easy to pronounce and spell.
4. Easy on the n's. Our last name sounds like, but isn't, Lowen-steen, so n endings could sound weird.
5. Nothing super popular.
Sibling is Kira (suggested by someone here!). Middle name is probably Peter (family name). Names I like that DH doesn't: Forrest, Reed, Asher (too trendy anyway), and Beck. It is unclear what he likes.
I know there are probably still lots of names that fit these criteria! Any suggestions?
(I edited this down bc it was stupid long at first!)
Oliver Edmund Roger Owen/Eoin William Arthur Ronan Frederick Henry Louis Richard Martin Geoffrey/Jeffrey Gerald Soren Vincent Victor Alexander Finnian Colin Charles
Mark/Marc (I know it's biblical, but people don't think of it as a biblical name, like Elijah or Noah etc. Our pediatric says he never sees Marks these days. ) Owen Rhys Mateo
Just so you know both Peter and Asher are Biblical names. A lot of names are really. I think as long as you aren't naming your kids Mary and Joseph you will probably be okay.
Suggesting Caleb Wyatt Nicholas Zachary Adam Elias Silas Colin (will suggest despite n because I think it sounds good with Kira) Edward Jude George Theodore

Yeah, I knew Peter violates two of our rules, but it's my wonderful FIL's name, and it's apparently non-negotiable to DH as a MN. I did NOT know that Asher was from the Bible! It's amazing how many male names are. E.g., from your list: Caleb Adam Zachary Elias Jude
I do really like Silas and Colin, though, especially bc I can't get enough of Colin Firth. So Colin Lowensteen wouldn't sound weird to you?
I'm going off the popularity list with combined spellings because I feel that they are more accurate with how popular a name feels, and only looking at ones under the top 100 since I'm not sure what popularity means to you Not all of these are my style, but I figure you needed a lot of options:
Leo (not sure how you feel about alliteration) Cole Declan Sean Axel Derek Corbin Harrison (the two I've known have gone by their full names, another one went with an unrelated nn) Ivan Grant Oscar Beau Dean Garrett Shane Troy Marshall Rhett Neil Trent Remy Wade Soren Otto Flynn Brent Heath Shea Magnus Todd Milton Emil Lyle Irving Lev Cecil Aslan Lars Bram Stellan Conall Emrys Rainer
Breaks #2: Nickname potential Kyle (with Kai becoming more popular, it is a risk) Griffin Edwin Mitchell Theo Lachlan Alistair Gerald Henrik Vance Cormac Alaric Idris Vince
Breaks #1: Biblical Jasper Seth Dante (only if you associate it with the divine comedy) Jared
