babycaps, I regularly do bedtime alone. I have always scheduled DS2's day so he goes to bed right after DD. So I give baths (both kids at the same time), get ready for bed (teeth brushed etc.), and we all go in and do DD's bedtime routine. Then I turn my focus to DS2. I have tried it the other way around and it never works for me. I can get them both in bed by 7:45, especially now that DS2 will let me lay him down drowsy or awake to fall asleep.

Yeah, hasn't worked here yet. I always think of you when I have to do it on my own though! We are still learning drowsy to sleep around here for DS2 so it's a shit show! Oh well. It doesn't happen often! Hats off to you!!! I don't know how you handle 3 kids on the daily!!!
babycaps, I'm mentally and physically exhausted by the end of everyday. My oldest is giving me trouble right now. To the point I'm really struggling.
As far as the smaller two, Logan will cry during DD's bedtime routine. She has gotten used to it and just ignores it. We read and sing and rock all while he cries on the other side of my lap. Sometimes I think he cries bc he doesn't want her on my lap.
I often do bedtime alone too. I do as much as I can with both kids together in the bathroom - bath, teeth, pjs. Then, DD gets to watch paw patrol while I put DS in his crib. DS goes to bed first at 6 pm and DD at 7:30. I remember the days when bedtime was a huge stress for me when DS took forever to get into bed and DD wouldn't sit down to watch TV.
I just wanted to say it does get better the older they get. Or maybe the challenges just change?
