Make no mistake. My kid is super picky and eats like no veggies. And no tomato-based pastas. And only pork and hot dogs.
He used to eat a lot more.
B won't touch veggies either. I feel guilty because he pretty much lives on scrambled eggs, fruits, cheese, and crackers or bread. Some days he loves ravioli, other days it all ends up on the floor..
I feel it's my job to give DS a variety of healthy, delicious foods. But I can't force him to eat. I've pretty much released it to the Lord. It's frustrating that he won't even try things, but he's still young. Eventually he'll understand that he has to try everything on his plate before saying all done.
So today when he's eaten a banana, fruit snacks, two pieces of cheese, 1/4 of a peach, an orange, and a pouch, I just shrug and know I've done the best I can. Maybe he just doesn't need much right now.
My best friend just got positive blood work and pregnancy test after IVF. I cried the happiest of tears and pray all goes smoothly for her from here out.
I have been taking care of DH all weekend who caught DD's hand foot and mouth. I woke up with a horrible sore throat this morning. I am going to be the grouchiest/most worthless person on this planet if I catch it.Â
Oh no! Interestingly, I just found out one of the kids who was hanging out with DS in the nursery on Sunday was diagnosed with HFM today. Ugh. I'm going to assume we will all be getting it. Wahhh!
I hope you don't actually catch it. Fingers crossed for you.

I've been so frustrated with how much food ends up on the floor lately. DS is only 1! And yet most of the time he'll eat like 3 bites of whatever I give him. Except fruit. And yogurt. The kid lives on fruit and yogurt. It's basically the only reason I haven't quit nursing him yet. I'm all "he's got to get calories from somewhere!" I'm sure I'm overreacting.

They still have really tiny tummies! 3 bites might be enough for him. And they know how much food they need and eat what they need.
I know the food waste is frustrating though. I hate throwing out food. As long as they're happy and growing, try not to sweat it.

I'm not loving HP. I put it down which I never did while reading the other books. Bummer.
I started taking Unisom and B6 so I'm on day 2 of just feeling tired but OK otherwise. Yay!
Can I ask what you don't like about HP? I'm through Part I (so 1/2 way finished). Just curious
I really don't like what they've done with the characters. Harry does things that honestly I could never see Harry doing. I also felt like they made a big point about Slytherin not being "bad" (the Malfoys basically save Harry's butt a few times) and then all of a sudden it's back to being thought of as horrible. Stuff like that. I'm almost done with Part I.
