Just got in a fight with a patient. I was shaking...i clearly dont handle confrontation so well. And he has since called the office to talk to me. Not gonna happen.

Also I think DH and I just decided to try and relocate to PA or De. I need a change of pace SO so bad.

How do they test? We just get a finger prick for blood!

ooh i didnt know you guys decided! We really want to build something. I should look into that area. The benefits to DE would be being close to the boys. We are thinking of revisiting the custody agreement and seeing if we can get 50/50 if we live there.  Or if we were in PA my IL would be there and a lot of friends. But it would be a long commute for DH to PG county.

I just looked it up. Some states test for lead only if youre within a zip code known to have lead. It looks like the standard of care in MA to test between 9-12m and 2-3y across the board.

Apparently in NY it's required to be tested at 2 years. We got a letter in the mail from the state saying L had to be tested and the reports needed to be sent in.

I had to take DS2 for a full blood draw when his iron levels came back too low. The first time they stuck both arms and couldn't get anything so I had to bring him back 2 days later and do it again. It's the worst, I don't blame you for sending your husband.

My bitch is that my ILs are keeping up with tradition of not acknowledging our kid's birthday. Surprise! 2 grandparents and 6 aunts/uncles and not so much as a "hey, happy bday to DS2" text.

I expect it every time, but it still hurts.

Why do people think they're entitled to my kids? The boys spent the night at the ILs' about 2-3 weeks ago. We all went up to visit yesterday. I have to do an all day work meeting this Thursday and MIL is watching the kids here at our house. She had the gall to ask if she could bring the boys back to her house that night to stay over. Dafuq? Are you ever satisfied? I enjoy my kids. I have less than 2 weeks of summer left. Leave us alone.

In laws don't get it. Or maybe grandparents in general. Although I think I would have taken them up on it and gone on a date night before crazy work schedule starts.

Need to vent......Seriously, my dcp just asked about taking another 2 days off in September. She just took 9 days, she closes the whole week at Christmas, plus plenty of other random days here and there. Its really aggravating. No one I know has that much vacation time. Other then this issue we love her. But come on lady. I feel like she is really taking advantage of us.

We got frustrated with this with our DCP, and it ended up being one of the things that made us SO THANKFUL to send her to a center. Even though they have closures, we know about them well in advance, and can plan!

mary1217 I feel you! Our daycare lady takes 3 weeks of vacation every year. Plus she gets some sick days and when schools are closed for weather so is she (Thankfully we have had mild winters so it hasn't been an issue, yet) and then her normal holidays off. One of those weeks is from Christmas Eve through New Years, and then she takes two other weeks throughout the year. One usually in July and another around spring break. I feel you on how sometimes it gets excessive, but we put up with it because I really feel it's the best place for S right now. If I couldnt work from home there is no way I could do it. Thankfully between working from home and having 3 weeks vacation at work and DH able to take his days off during the week if need be and having my SIL's to help one day here and there, we manage.

Yes she watches other kids too.  4 total.  She usually tells us in advance, but up until recently I only I had my mom as a backup.  Its just annoying because days off was definitely something we discussed when we were looking into different DCPs and she made it sound like she didn't take this much time off.

I need to vent/complain; I have been looking at houses and trying to move since March. We are just running out of room with 3 kids, 2 dogs, and DH and I. I told DH early on lets get preapproved first, but he thought we'd have no problems so we waited. Well we've found a few houses we liked, and when we went to get preapproved our debt to income ratio was off because of credit cards we had to open when DH was in the hospital. We've paid them down significantly and have been working to hard get the house ready and fix our credit scores.
Fast forward to today when a house on our street just came on the market for almost $100,000 less than what we were planning on listing our house for. So now we have a really low comp on the exact same street and I'm afraid it's going to really hurt our chances of selling our house for what we want.
Tldr; I want to move and a house on our street may totally prevent it from happening. Ugh.

Their house has less bedrooms and less bathrooms, and it's a diff floor plan so I think it is worth less than ours. It's also not very updated. I was pretty confident with our list price, but now I'm just worried buyers wouldn't see all that. Ours isn't on the market yet but I'm just worried it'll still hurt us. The whole home buying/selling process is so stressful.

The whole process is really stressful. People might look at it and compare, but if it has less bathrooms and bedrooms then it really isn't a comp. How does the sq footage and yard size compare? Also, they may end up in a bidding war if they are really underpriced which would help you.

The whole process is really stressful. People might look at it and compare, but if it has less bathrooms and bedrooms then it really isn't a comp. How does the sq footage and yard size compare? Also, they may end up in a bidding war if they are really underpriced which would help you.

We have more square footage and a finished basement. Our yard is a bit bigger. My DH of course isn't as stressed or worried as I am. But he's not the one home managing the kids and house most of the time so in my head I'm ready to more yesterday.
Did you have to sell a house too in your recent move?

Yes we sold, but since we were moving to a new area, we decided to rent once we moved. So we sold our house, moved into a rental for 5 months, and then took our time buying. We were able to get an offer less than 30 days on the market luckily.

When we bought we grabbed something the day it came on the market. Detroit is a very hot sellers market right now, and our house was priced to move quickly. We have neighbors that just listed for 25k over what we spent, and it's a much smaller yard (better landscaping), no pool, less updated, but the same number of bedrooms and sq footage we have. We have an extra half bath and kitchen in the basement though. I haven't seen a lot of traffic, but I hope they get close to asking for it, because it helps our home value because it is a very similar comp.
