What's happening today?
Some crazy lady called our main line and needs to talk to someone. My supervisor left the call slip in my box, so it's already shaping up to be an interesting day here.

I took my first bump pic this morning, and a coworker called me out yesterday. I guess this is happening LOL
And I'm pumped for the Olympics tonight! I love the Olympics and sports in general. We have crappy antenna TV, but at least I can watch the opening ceremonies (even if it isn't HD quality). Yes, this is a total FWP.

oldbaylover1024, I'm bummed we don't have a TV for the Olympics! I love watching them! Maybe H can figure out some funky way to watch it online. He's good about sneaky stuff like that.

wildflower810, shellbell - We were invited to someone's house to watch the opening ceremonies, but with J's sleep schedule and MH's work schedule it didn't work out. Crappy reception it is! I hear you can watch on Sling TV if you stream. And Sling TV offers a 7-day free trial so you'd at least get the first week of games free, right?! LOL
(FFFC maybe?) As for zika, let's be honest - lots of exposed skin, lots of sex (hopefully protected), lots of spectators that probably won't remember to apply deet like they should... I'm expecting zika to be prolific. But I'm also taking a very eyes-open-wide approach to zika. As my OBGYN said, mosquitos don't care about boarders, so it's bound to travel. Hence a CDC warning in Miami. What scares me most is the lack of healthcare for Brazilians, not foreigners. Travelers have medical care onsite at the Olympic village, but Brazilian residents... well... it's a different story.

GAP is having a big sale! 40% off and free shipping with the code GAPWOW. I just got a pair of jeans, shirt, and a dress for $40! I'm also excited for the Olympics but probably won't watch the opening ceremony tonight. We're going to DC in the morning on a 7AM flight. It's our first time traveling with our little guy so I'm nervous!! Also I need to post more, I've been busy at work lately but am definitely going to jump back in!

I'm also freaking excited that H has the weekend off. He was supposed to work both Sat and Sun, but then one of his coworkers asked for his Sat shift (H thinks coworker is in a financial pinch or something) and Sun turned to probably on call. The lawn is going to get mowed and hopefully H will clean out the fridge!
I'm excited for the olympics too! I did competitive gymnastics as a kid, so it has a special place in my heart. We gave up cable a few years back, so I'll also have to find some creative way of watching it...
Thanks for the gap tip cwatmack! I might pick up a few maternity-ish essential things.
oldbaylover1024, i had a coworker eye my midsection the other day too (thankfully mine didn't call me out), but I have a feeling the cat is gonna have to be out of the bag pretty soon.

We have a summer festival at my office today and there are all kinds of tents and food trucks set up in the parking lot. I decided not to bring LO since it's so hot, but now I miss him!!!
ellabee, I did competitive gymnastics when I was younger too! I love watching gymnastics, even though by the time I quit I was soooooo burnt out.
wildflower810, I'm always impressed by people with no TV. I think I could do it since I don't really watch anything special, just turn it on after dinner while we clean, read, etc, but I think my H would legit DIE without the walking dead and the other nonsense he watches after I go to sleep. What made you decide to live TV free?
Yeah EmMilAlly I hear you. I was approaching the point where I kinda would have had to make the decision to pursue it for college and I just couldn't. 5+ days a week doesn't leave you with much time for a life outside the sport. On another note, sometimes I find it difficult to watch the Olympic gymnastics because I get SO heated about the underage Chinese gymnasts. (I mean there is just no freakin way some of those girls are of age...c'mon now).
I think we're telling my grandmother this weekend. I wanted to wait for her birthday party next weekend, but my dad is insisting that we don't wait. I never knew that being pregnant meant that so many other people get to have opinions about my decisions...
Hey everyone! I've been away for a while, part of that was caused by being hospitalized with a 105 fever and SIRS. I was released on Wednesday evening but I have a spinal headache from the spinal tap so I've pretty much been laid up in bed ever since. DH leaves for some out of town work on Sunday and won't be back until Thursday, so I need this headache gone asap!

EmMilAlly, well, when we were first married I was under employed and H was unemployed. We didn't own a physical TV and there was no money for cable. In the last 3 years we just haven't found a reason to start paying for it. Neither of us were raised in huge TV households. H can hack the internet and find his shows on sketchy websites and etc to watch.

ImAPepper, I'm so sorry you've been going through all that! Hoping you feel 100% really soon.
Not much going on here. Trying to take it easy since I'm getting really dizzy amd lightheaded lately.
I'd like to be excited for the Olympics, but I just feel so bad at how it's negatively affecting the people of Rio. It's quite a price for our national pride. I hope it turns out much better than expected. I'm still probably going to watch, though. I can't pass up the opening ceremonies and swimming.
DS' fever finally broke without any seizures, which is awesome. He did randomly puke in my hand this morning, but then ate breakfast and seemed fine, so we just pretended it never happened.

Well DH is gone on our posting. He was supposed to be there a month ago so I guess I should just count that extra time a blessing. Now to deal with being apart with 2 kids and pregnancy which we've never had to deal with before (just one baby). This house just needs to effing sell so this can be over and we can be together again. Anybody looking for Realestate in Canada?

ellabeeEmMilAlly another gymnast here too! I did it up until 11th grade and made it to level 8 but the bars & myself were not friends. I switched to competitive cheering & did that throughout college. I can't wait to see the new fab 5!! Hope Simone gets to take it home this year
ImAPepper - I'm so sorry you were sick! I hope that headache goes away, stat. madam23 - glad there were no seizures! I hope he's back to normal ASAP!
It's my weekend to work 😩 I am just exhausted lately. I slept a shitty 12 hours. You'd think even if it was shitty with CRAZYYYY dreams, 12 hours would make up for it! I'm ready to go back to bed but j have errands I need to run! I don't want to move though ☹️ I also woke up in a crazy bad mood bc of the last dream I had- it was making me so angry, I woke up angry! Can't seem to fully shake the blah feeling.
We told my crazy grandma about the baby today. She is almost blind, so it took her a while to see what my mom and I were trying to tell her (she has macular degeneration), but when she did get it, she was so excited and started crying. She was so excited, and was so loud that she scared DS, who starting wailing like someone pinched him! It was pretty much a comedy of errors.
Then DS was babbling "dadada" and she said that he was calling for a baby brother. Mmmmm.... Ok....
I'm secretly hoping H wants to order dinner out. He's trying to earn free chipotle catering from their reward program, so I think he probably will want to. Fingers crossed!
Hey guys, checking to ask for some T&Ps. I've been spotting a little today, and my doctor is sending me for an ultrasound tomorrow morning to double check on baby. The nurse told me it's most likely normal, so I'm definitely hoping for that. Just a little freaked out.
