It's :insert name of my burb: Days so we are taking LO to the carnival later. I finally broke out the maternity tees and feel so much more confortable and less chubby. I really need to sort through the whole box but that seems like so much work.

I hear you on the sorting. I don't have a lot of summer/spring maternity so I'm trying hard to get by with non-maternity tops. I'm all about maternity pants now though! Have fun at the carnival!
J is going to a sleep over with my niece (at SIL's house) so H and I are going on a date! It's [Our County] Restaurant Week and our fave place is on the list! Then we're seeing Suicide Squad. So excited

Heading "home" for the weekend. We have a wedding tonight, so we are taking DS to my parents' for a sleep over. The wedding is very close to DH's parents' house, so we'll stay there tonight. Then tomorrow we are having both sides of the family over to in-laws for a mini bday party for DS. He turns 4 on the 14th. Should be a pretty fun weekend.
Right now I'm a little cranky because our should be 2 hour drive is going take more like 2:45. Ugh. But we should be there in about 15, so there's an end in sight!!
I started the boxes. I'm also packing away some regular clothes that I really should be sorting through for donations, but eh, I'll deal with that later. Because it will be so much easier to sort through next year when I have two kids instead of one. I apologize to future self!
Add me to the group of people who has a box of maternity clothes to sort through.
I'm like you oldbaylover1024 - DD was born in March, so most of my maternity stuff is geared towards winter. Hopefully I can make it through the summer without enough of a bump to need a whole new seasonal maternity wardrobe...
I just put all my maternity clothes in my closet and packed up some of my regular clothes. I don't pack up everything (thank you, walk in closet!), but things like jeans and stuff just can be packed away. Ever the optimist, I saved some of my baggier jeans for postpartum so I don't have to dig around for the right tote. Lol.

This morning was The Big Latch On here locally. I was manning a booth so I didn't get to really socialize, but there were nearly 200 bfing moms there! I love that we have such a "crunchy" friendly community here and it's not weird to bf and babywear and etc.
+1 to the maternity stuff and having a box. Except DS was a Nov baby, so I was 24ish weeks along this far through the summer last time, in Texas. I have plenty of summer shirts... but somehow not shorts. I'm for sure going to need more winter stuff... I'm not in Texas this time around!
I've switched to my maternity jeans but normal dress pants still for maybe another week. Tops are a struggle since a lot of my tops are sweaters. Looked yesterday and didn't see anything I liked.
Lazy weekend for us- I'll be traveling M-f this week so not looking forward to it. But looking forward to the eating out and sleeping great(LO still fights going down so it's an hour plus each night).
I have taken out all my maternity items as well. My DD was early Sept baby though so most of my stuff is summer, which works for now but I will need some fall/winter items. I did buy a winter coat on huge clearance (down to $35!) that arrived last week that should be great for when it's cold so that is something.
I got the rest of my stuff down from the attic yesterday too! Still haven't opened the boxes or washed them yet.
We were at my best friends DS 1st birthday today. I made his little smash cake and cupcakes - they turned out super cute! Glad it's over though. 5+ hours in the kitchen then at a birthday party for 3 hours is freaking exhausting.

DS fell back asleep after nursing this morning. Which is cute and adorable, but now I'm stuck in bed. We're never going to make it to church on time!
I managed to sort through my maternity clothes last week. Someone from church gave me a bunch of clothes that I forgot about, but they're still too big for my blump. They fall down. I'm going to try to make it to a consignment shop this week and see if I can find anything. I borrowed a lot of clothes last time, so I'm missing some key elements. I have plenty of short sleeved tops, though! Practically no winter-appropriate items. I wasn't showing until March last time. So, shopping is in my future.
Working all weekend and I don't know why but I agreed to come in four hours early tonight for overtime. Someone smack me!
I'm exhausted but lately I can't sleep well or for very long. I'm having crazy dreams that are so random!
I really just wish I could take a vacation from life right now- no work, no worrying about packing and moving at the end of the month, no worrying about the baby / test results, no cooking or cleaning or laundry, no dealing with people at work, no dealing with frustrating friends.... Just relaxation. I wish!!

Going to another first birthday party today. It's nice to see everyone, but I'm glad this is the last one for the summer. They also always fall smack dab in the middle of DDs nap time- so she's either miserable or we are late.
Well fuck, guys. DS went down the slide today and broke his leg. He has a full leg cast up to his thigh. I'm not comprehending how I'm going to keep a 2 year old propped up in a full leg cast for 4-6 weeks...
Loving and hating today. Loving all the cuddles from my LO1 but hate it since it means she's really not feeling well. Praying she's not coming down with HFM which is going around her daycare. Esp since DH will be alone all week with her since I fly out tomorrow.

Thanks, ladies. So far he's happy propped up with Paw Patrol, but I don't know we're going to deal with sleep. Not to mention the fact that he can't go to daycare, ergo I can't go to work. Hopefully he's not actually in this cast the full 4-6 weeks. The nurse said kids his age usually heal in about 3 weeks.
lovebb09, that makes me feel so much better! When the doc said his xray showed a fracture, I said, "But he's 2!" And he looked at me like I was a moron. I mean, I get it, obviously they can break bones, it just never occurred to me that a 2 year old could be in a full leg cast because... he's 2 and it just feels inherently wrong for such a little guy to be laid up like this.
