peachesncream ours is late too (6 months on 9/4). His is this coming Tuesday. We need 4:30pm appts which is the last of the day, so they probably get snagged first I'm assuming. We scheduled back in July though, so not sure why they would be booked already, who knows?

Appointment is done! Of course I left her sheet in the car. She's 15 lbs and change (32%) and I forgot the inches but she's 28%. Petite but growing better than she was so doc is happy! Also got the go ahead for CIO if needed, now I just need to convince my husband.
Looks like 2 teeth are coming. Rolling both ways, sitting up on his own, not sttn about 99% of the time, and has a huge smile! His laugh is the best thing ever. He loves his big sister and our kitties. He also loves to bounce and stand up on our laps. Eating solids isn't his strong point yet. Pedi said we could try to give him a little water during motn wakeups and maybe he'll gradually stop waking as much.
Major milestones by this point: He's sitting like a champ, eats his toes (or tries to...sometimes his tummy gets in the way), still STTN, and will put himself to sleep at night. He has 2 teeth (bottom), and his top 4 are coming through.
Personality quirks/AW: He loves playing with toys that make noise and figuring out how to make the noise happen. He hates getting dressed (it is the worst thing EVER). He loves the veggies he's tried so far, especially gnawing on cucumber slices. Watching him in his exersaucer is highly entertaining, because he is SO BUSY. He's like, LOOK AT ALL OF THIS STUFF I MUST PLAY WITH IT ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I laugh a lot when he's in there.
He does have to have a head CT done soon - he had another big jump in circumference, so doc wants to make sure all is well. Doc doesn't anticipate finding anything, but we'd rather be safe than sorry. DH and I both have large heads, and The Dude is a big baby, so pretty sure that's all it is. We also have to continue retracting and vaselining his foreskin. Ugh. Ugh ugh ugh. I want to CD!!!! But, if that's the worst of things right now, I'm good with that.

We had our 6 month appointment last week.
W is 19 lb. 4 oz, 28" long
He loves fruit, but isn't a fan of vegetables. He (finally) has 2 teeth breaking through on the bottom after what has felt like months of teething. He is sitting unassisted and can move himself in and out of that position. He is army crawling and can get across a room super fast. He also made it up 2 steps several times and then we put the baby gates up. He can pull to stand and likes to kick around in swimming class. He likes to simultaneously turn pages and chew on books. He likes to challenge his mom and dad by making them change his diaper while he's laying on his stomach. He also loves giving kisses.
readinglove how are you still carrying him in an infant seat! My arms would be broken! We gave in earlier than we usually do and switched to a convertible this month.

It's hard! The switch to convertible is happening this weekend.

Why wouldn't you just take them out of the infant seat to carry them? You would have to do the same with a convertible.

Well in our case, our seat was expiring in October anyway and we found good deals on 2 new convertibles. I HATED our infant seat so much.

I do that more now. But when he couldn't sit in a store cart, that didn't work as well (I'm not baby wearing with this one). He just started to be able to do that well in the past 2 weeks.

K is so small that even with her sitting well, she can't sit in the cart without falling through. I'll usually put her in the stroller or put the entire carrier into the cart. I park next to the cart corral for easy access.

Height: 22in/23.5/26/27.5
Weight: 7 lbs 14 oz /13 lbs 6.5 oz/ 16 lbs 8 oz / 19 lbs
Major milestones by this point: rolling all over, sits unassisted, laughing more, feeding herself, putting herself to sleep for naps and bedtime
Personality quirks/AW: She loves to make a variety of noises, including a growl and a hiss. She's in love with the camera. She already loves food. She starts to scream when I put her in the high chair if I do not hand her something to eat fast enough. So far she has loved everything she has tried, though was questionable about pureed plums, but still ate them.
She's tiny in terms of her weight to height ratio but the pedi wasn't extremely worried. We saw a different doctor than usual and she suggested adding another sitting of solids each day. The bigger issue was she has some labial fusion
Her biggest personality thing is that she truly loves people. She is particularly in love with our music class teacher. She genuinely enjoys seeing new faces and smiles for anyone.
27.25 inches (66%) 20 lbs 7.5 oz (90%) 44.75cm (82%)
Milestones- He's rolling all over the place. He can sit up unassisted when I put him there and is working on getting into that position himself. He's scooting backwards and trying to get onto his hands and knees. He's eating solids 2-3 times a day. He loves fruit and is just meh about veggies, but will still eat them. He babbles and laughs all the time. He's observant and full of smiles. Everyone comments on how cute he is and all of his hair. Everything goes into his mouth. His gums are a little swollen so he may start teething soon, but who really knows.
It was an eventful appointment. He's been sick for two weeks though it's not bothering him much. He earned himself a breathing treatment while we were in the office and we were sent home with a nebulizer and will go pick up albuterol shortly. We were there for an hour and a half between that, the wait, and normal appointment stuff. He is zonked out in his swing and I wish I was.
