Hey friends. Not much to share here, other than that the previous work craziness got worse instead of better, and our grade level team had to have a meeting about it all that lasted over 2 hours after school. Basically issues between two teachers and the principal are out of control... And they are letting parent issues further get in the way. Principal wants to please a group of "high powered" parents instead of stick with what we are doing. (Parent annoyance is at a system that's been put in place. So it's growing pains, really. They need to get used to doing things a slightly different way. The time our doors open has changed. We now open up at 8:15, up until this year we opened up at 8. These parents still want an 8:00 drop off because that's what they were used to before. And apparently it's not a very large group of parents complaining! Throw in one teacher who is opening her doors at 8 again, and it's a hot mess.) Not the best way to end a Friday! And I think dealing with all that and the first weeks back to school really had taken it out of me. I have been super lazy today and haven't accomplished anything really. Drinking my second beer of the afternoon.
LesleyEO sheesh!! Drama llamas. coleybug13 I'm dying over the cuteness!! I could probably transition f to a big girl bed. I still nurse her to sleep so I don't worry about that part, but she is waking in the motn still sometimes.
It's so hot!! My house is like 74 degrees. The ac just can't keep up. I now have all the lights off and fans going so it feels a little cooler since dinner. I think h wants to watch a movie but I am so tired I don't k ow that I'll last

ruemorgan thanks for asking! It's doing soooo much better. I have killer bruises all up and down my leg though. Looks real cute. I can get around pretty good but every once in a while I step wrong and think I'm gonna die.

We changed to the toddler bed about a week ago (she has been in the crib since 3 months old). She was having nightmares or something and screaming bloody murder and didn't want to sleep in her crib anymore. We did a celebration and bought her a new comforter, pillowcase, and nightlight for her room. She was sooo excited! I'll have to post pics another day, they are on my good camera.
Anyways it's been good. A little bit of a challenge at nap time, but better than all of the screaming and crying.
Made it through the work day, we found out that it was a wiring issue that caused the fire alarm. So all day today facilities has been going through every statio/device and making sure wires are secure and not open. Sad to say my key board is attached by one lonely green wire. Hopefully they fix it before tomorrow morning. Wayne did really well with my parents this week. His allergies are flared so when his next appointment rolls around I'm going to ask the dr about how to help him. My parents have a cat that Wayne loves and the cat adores Wayne, unfortunately my husband and Wayne are both allergic. Wayne's is just a little rash and the seasonal sneezing. My husbands isn't as bad as it was when he brought the cat home and found out why his parents only ever had outside cats! Sorry for the rambling, long day/week.

oh god, i just went back and re-read how it happened. I cant believe its that bad!! I hope it continues to heal quickly for you
LesleyEO sorry for the mess at work. Why did the school change the drop off time?
In our district, K teachers used to owe time back to make our minutes equal to other primary teachers. We would teach a 1/2 day and then do all duty coverage and assist in another K teacher's classroom during part of our preps. One of the duties was morning drop off from 8:00-8:15. A few years back our district implemented a slip schedule for kinder (early bird/late bird) so we now teach a full day. We should have been relieved of the 15 min x 5 days a week morning duty at that time. Unfortunately we did 2 extra YEARS of it before we got clarification and backing from the admin. So stupid. So parents with older kids are used to the previous situation where they could have the option to drop their kids off up to 15 before school technically started.
Anyone have to deal with their baby having a yeast diaper rash? We are a few days in, very bright red and little clear blisters. Seems like a yeast rash based on what I have googled. The regular diaper creams aren't helping. I've emailed the dr but I won't hear back until Monday. Online I keep reading I could use otc anti fungal creams but for some reason I'm worried about that. Thoughts??
LesleyEO We dealt with a yeast rash and anti-fungal worked almost immediately. It was amazing. Not sure what is concerning for you, but it's what our pediatrician recommended and it worked well.
malvo, ruemorgan, flat0422- Thanks for such fast responses. We did a baking soda bath and a little bit of lotrimin that I had Latin around from when I had to mix up a magical nipple cream concoction from the dr after V was born. FX it helps. I just don't want it to keep getting worse!
LesleyEO yes lotarmin or I also have the target brand. And soaking withstand 2 tablespoons of baking soda for 10 mins 3 times a day. We had it about a week before it started clearing.
