@cheeze I'm sorry hopefully you can rest a bit today!
My FIL is having bypass surgery right now so DH is at the hospital and I'm home with the baby at home trying to distract myself instead of worrying. Lots of Netflix this morning.
We had our first beach day yesterday as a family of four and it was a success. Ds2 touched the pacific for the first time and thought it was cold but didn't cry. . Ds1 was thrilled to take the baby to the beach and show him everything.
I have to finish packing today because I fly to he Midwest tomorrow with the two boys to see my family. Praying it goes smoothly as I'm solo parenting for the week.
DS didn't like out Ergo and the Boba/moby wrap doesn't stay tight enough for all day in airports so I borrowed a friends Beco and he loves it so I'm taking it and no stroller.
titania and @cheeze best of thoughts to your families.
I am currently in a 6 hour class for work. Baby is with my dad. Thank goodness that the instructor is super understanding and is letting me pump when I need to.

Best wishes to your family titania. Hope the surgery goes well!
Yesterday we had a bunch of visitors so it was pretty exhausting. Hoping the kids let me relax a little bit today.
I also got suckered into trying out LuLaRoe from a neighbor. I never wanted to buy it before bc I couldn't try it on, so we went and tried stuff on from another neighbor's stock and I ended up buying a few things. I must say, the leggings are sooo soft!
Today is just a normal work day for me. I'm finally getting back into the swing of things since coming back to work. The first week was so tough. I threw up every morning that week before work because I didn't want to go. I'm feeling much better about it now though.
We had a fun weekend. We hung out with some friends and family both days. DD likes being in the ergo, so that helps when we're out and about.
I've been taking it easy the last few days and napping a lot, I haven't been online much. I'm getting over mastitis and now the antibiotics are messing with my tummy, so I need to go buy some probiotics.
Thanks so much for your thoughts! He is out of surgery and the surgeon said it went beautifully. He is still unconscious but hopefully will be awake soon.
DS was eating this morning, and when he unlatched I gave him a pacifier. I think sometimes he eats just to suck and then I end up dealing with a lot of extra spit up. If he really doesn't want the paci and insists on eating then I assume he's actually still hungry. This morning he took the paci and drifted off to sleep so I left him there on the Boppy while I messed around on my phone. I looked down about twenty minutes later and realized he had managed to spit out the pacifier and relatch, and I hadn't even noticed. His eyes were still closed and everything.
Ugh. My crazy SIL strikes again. But this time she crossed the line! So she's off traveling around the world and on cruises probably 60% of the year neglecting her children). This time she had taken her son to college, but left 10 year old daughter at home. She spent the weekend with grandma about an hour away and was taken to school this morning. SIL and BIL were supposed to get home this evening. Well they aren't getting home until 4 or 5 am. So who do you call to watch your 10 year old daughter for the night? A. Your brother and his wife B. One of your daughters friends C. One of the various other family members in town D. The single male neighbor you don't know that we'll.
The answer: D
DH is out of town and my girls are all sleeping, so we were going to send a car to pick her up and bring her over here for the night, but SIL said no. I cannot she is setting the precedent that it is ok for 10 Year olds to spend time/trust older single males. Chances are it is safe this time, but what a horrible precedent to set.

Ohhhh no I'm so sorry! Been there. Hoping you don't get it again and that you're feeling better!

This is adorable though! My DD does the same thing-she rarely ever stops eating on her own and SO much spit up.

shoogars that's so wrong, so so so wrong. Did anyone point out to her the safety problems with this arrangement? It may be okay this time, but if she keeps making stupid choices eventually it won't be okay.
shoogars totally inappropriate. LO has been on the boob most of last night and this morning. If this is how it is going to be when I go back to work then ugh. I was gone for almost 8 hours yesterday.
