I have a little pea-sized lump in one breast. I thought it might be breastfeeding related so I let it be for a week, but it is still there. I'd rather call my OB about it because they are more convenient to get to and tend to be more responsive, but should I try my primary care first anyway?
Thanks, I called my OB and they want to see me tomorrow. I'm not overly worried, looks like there are plenty of reasons a breastfeeding woman might have a lump like mine. Three of my coworkers, two of whom are under the age of 30, were diagnosed with cancer this year. I just don't want to be that person who ignores something and ends up regretting it.
You are doing the right thing by getting it checked. It's probably nothing, but if it's not, early detection is of utmost importance. I'm proud of you for being on top of it!
