difficulty coming up with name for third baby. We have an Emma and a Jack - like classic names. Expecting a girl. I like Mae, Margo (possibly), Hannah (sounds too much like Emma) - H says he doesn't like Mae. I am working on him. Our last name is 3 syllables so I want a one or 2 syllable first name. Thoughts? Also like M names.

My husband likes Brooke and Brooklyn... I don't hate these names, but would love your thoughts!! All of your suggestions are right on target thank you!
I like both Hannah, which I don't find too similar to your daughter's name, and Margo. I do like Mae, but prefer it as a nickname. Brooklyn stands out from the siblings being a place name and more trendy instead of classic; I strongly prefer Brooke over Brooklyn.

Brooke is dull and dated. Brooklyn is awful.
I like Mae and Margot and think both are great nicknames for Margaret. What about picking Margaret and seeing what nickname fits her? Does your H like Maggie or Meg?
Well, Margot is the only acceptable spelling for this name and it's not a great name anyway. Mae is not good either. Hannah is definitely the best. Here are some much better classic, short names:
Alice
Cora
Clara
Eve
Frances
Flora
Iris
Lily
Mira
Marie
Mina
Noelle
Pearl
Petra
Thea
Willa
Edit: Also seconding Rose and adding a big oh, HELLS no to Brooke and Brooklyn.

Maeve and Margot are about on the same level for me, but either of them would be infinitely better than Brooklyn.
According to BTN, Maeva is legit. But it's Tahitian, not Irish.
Some other one and two syllable Irish names (though they're far away from Emma and Jack in terms of style and simplicity): Aoife Liadan Mairéad Niamh Oona Orla Roisin Saoirse
Out of the M names you mentioned, I like Mae the best, but it is a little middle-namey for me. Something like Rose or Alice reads classic and would fit more with your sibset IMO, but I also like Molly and Brigid for you.

I still love Mae. I think it sounds best with our last name, even though my husband still doesn't like it. I think Mae Elizabeth might work (BOTH my grandma's middle names are Mae and his grandma is Elizabeth), but he now is trying to convince me of Elizabeth Mae!! If we go with Elizabeth first we want to call her Ellie. There is no way I can name daughter Ellie Mae...
Another thought is Mae Olivia to modernize it a bit, husband likes Olivia... but right now he's trying to convince me to name her Elizabeth (don't care for that too much) and call her Ellie (I actually do like the name Ellie)... anyway, still struggling over here - my gut is telling me Mae Elizabeth is her name...
Gonna be the odd woman out - love Brooke. Brooklyn is atrocious.
Other suggestions:
Julia Rose Mary Meredith Martha Sarah Rebecca Dawn Amber Elizabeth Victoria Diana Lynn Meghan Melody (actually one of DH's names that he likes, I'm not a huge fan - just as a disclaimer) Maude Maeve Kelly Melissa Marissa Margaret
