This is us. Can someone take this cranky baby and give me back my easy baby? Lots of screaming today. She is sleeping in my arms now but it won't last. I'm watching Disney Junior bc the remote is on the other side of the room and I don't want to chance waking her. Stressful day.

The plumber determined we have huge issues outside his scope. I'm now looking at a few thousand dollars of work that needs to be done immediately. I'm also getting a few thousand dollars in medical bills for this delivery. I only have a few thousand dollars total. I'm stressing.

We tried a trip to the grocery store. R slept the 10 minutes there, the 20 minutes in the store, and then woke up in the line. He screamed all the way home.

I'm sorry, that's so stressful. I have a lot of medical bills, too. My insurance is really good with payment plans. I set up a payment plan for 18 months at a certain amount and it's no interest. Can you do something like that?
Anyone else's babies get super sleepy when using Gripe Water? I've only given it 3 times and all 3 times she goes right to sleep and it's a weird sleep with lots of dream apparently. It weirds me out so I only use it when I absolutely know that she needs it for gas/hiccups/etc. I also only give her a 5th of the recommended amount..

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that! Adulting sucks sometimes. I've been putting off calling a plumber for our kitchen sink because I'm scared of exactly this. I hope you're able to work something out.

We'll be OK and figure out something but, man, is it going to sting. Bad timing.

And I totally agree littlesthobo. I'm scared to ask because I'm afraid of exactly this. It's stupid because if we had ignored this, it would have been an even bigger issue but it still feels like I brought it on myself. **nerd alert! I meant to edit and quoted myself. Lame.**

Today is the last day of my IL's being in town. In the last 5 days, MIL has commented on my house being dirty, my weight, and my eating/exercise habits. Usually I'm able to blow off the passive aggressive comments she makes under her breath that hurt my feelings, but I'm too hormonal and sleep deprived for this shit. I've cried twice. Hard. One more day. I can do this.
Glad they are leaving soon. My parents were here for a month making similar comments (weight, what I eat, how I interact w baby, etc). It was soooo draining and I haven't cried since they left. I hope you feel better soon!

cabbagecabbage being an adult can suck sometimes. Bills are the worst, I have a ton coming from the hospital as well. i miss the carefree days of being a teenager and not having to worry about this stuff sometimes.
So, I am pretty sure I am having residual pain from the car accident. I have been having really terrible back spasms about once a week and the pain is almost worse than labor. It hurts so bad. I made an appt with a chiropractor for tomorrow, I really hope they can help me, I am sure my spine is super messed up.
I feel like I'm too lazy about baths for Dd. I'm trying so hard to do it at least 2 times a week, but I'm so tired at night. Dh usually bathes ds.
Must bathe Dd tonight. Haha
Pretty sure I've given DS2 2 baths total (he's 3.5 weeks). Eh I'm ok with it. I wipe his butt/penis multiple times a day and wipe his face/neck with water once a day so that's enough in my opinion. It's not like he's crawling around in dirt like his big brother. I'm too tired to do much more than the necessities. So no judgment here!
Thank you all for the support regarding my crazy MIL. Sitting here drinking wine in preparation for one last dinner with her. After tonight, I suppose I need to take a few days off from drinking.

lostinfaith225 I rarely bathe M unless he has a massive blow out...I just don't think newborns need much washing since they don't really get true dirty.

Well, the pedi appt went ok! A hated his shots. Dr. doesn't think he has full on acid reflux but definitely fits the description of a colicky baby--no shit. But she didn't disagree that he had reflux symptoms so she suggested a probiotic that might help with the colic too. It's called BioGaia and also includes the 400 IU Vit D recommended for BF babies. It's from Sweden so I'm hoping it's amazing since they rule the world on furniture and meatballs.

A just gets washcloth baths unless he has a poopsplosion or spits up a bunch and gets in the crevices, lol. I do fill his tub with warm water to calm him if he's especially crabby, but no soap or anything. He also loves a soft massage with his baby oil.
Sam's been having some marathon nursing sessions the past couple days, on top of being extra fussy, dealing with painful gas, and fighting naps. Fun times over here!
Practice was looong but good. sS1 did well on the ice and F snoozed while DH wore him. A few hockey moms said "wow! You look great!" That made me feel good
Except I just found out his mother didn't feed him supper. I'm furious. He had a 1.5hr hockey tryout. It's 8:20 and they're ordering pizza so he probably won't eat until 9. WTF!?!? I totally understand how people can kidnap their kids. I can't wait until spring when we can go back to court.

What symptoms does your lo have? I'm wondering about reflux vs colic vs food allergy for H. We see the dr Fri
