I have a dentist appointment in a couple hours. LO and DH are napping. I keep trying to also but then LO wants me to wake up so I can take him out of his bassinet and hold him, but then he just falls right back asleep. I wonder if I should transition him to his crib in his own room soon. Right now the cat is in his crib.
I'm returning a bunch of clothes DS hasn't worn yet that he is getting too big for. Stop growing!
You're smart to keep tags on!! We washed everything before he was born so now there's a bunch of newborn clothes that have never been worn. I'll guess give them to someone or store them for our next kid depending on how cute the clothes are.

Yeah, I was glad I did. I told the worker at Kohl's today that even if I got fifty cents for a pair of pants it was better than nothing.

I make sure they wear everything at least once, but thank goodness for our local consignment sale! I get 65% of whatever price I put on them.
Love a good cuddle nap that ends with the warmth of a diaper leak all over your abdomen
Haha, yes. It is a very unique sensation. Happened to me the other day and I just sat there for another twenty minutes waiting for DH to get out of the shower because the logistics of getting us both cleaned up felt a bit daunting.
I met the teacher who is going to sub for me during my leave for the first six weeks of school. She's fresh out of school herself but seems very competent. I dumped a truckload of information on her, but she took it well and the fact is my team is kind and helpful, she'll be fine. My parents are going away for two weeks at the beginning of September. It'll be the first time I won't have them to hang out with since DS was born. I am not worried about taking care of him on my own, he's an easygoing baby, but I'm afraid the boredom will be pretty painful. My husband works a lot of nights and dinners alone are not very fun.
vivela I totally get the being afraid of boredom. Yesterday was terrible. I was actually in tears due to being bored and not having any interaction. I had never felt so isolated. So I get you on the fear.
vivela are there any mom group meet ups in your area? Or like a library story time? It won't solve the nights alone (which are so hard! ) but may give you some social time during the day.
I swear this kid knows when I try to get outside. He fell asleep, I put him upstairs, grabbed the monitor, went outside, sat down with my feet in the pool and sure enough he woke up!

I have this theory that DD can hear me turn the monitor on. We have the feature on it that the screen will turn off after a few minutes of no noise and then turn back on if there's any noise in the room. Well, sometimes I just want to check on her and I turn the screen back on. Every single time I do that she seems to wake up! I think our babies are too smart!
We're trying to give LO a bottle for the first time in 6 weeks. It's not going well. I'm in my room crying, the baby is crying in the nursery as DH tries to feed him. The person who taught our breastfeeding class also leads the mommy and me group I go to and I asked her about it today and she suggested I leave the house when DH gives the bottle the first couple times. For some reason DH doesn't want me to leave, so I am suffering through listening to LO cry in the other room. Plus our dogs are being annoying. I'm ready for this day to be over. Sad face.

I'm here and read posts weekly but I go back to work next week so life has gotten super crazy. DD starts daycare on Tuesday and DS goes back full time tomorrow. I hope that you ladies are doing well.

Or warm diaper leak AND warm spit up that trickles down
Or on a plane when you feel the air come out immediately followed by wet gooey stuff through the nursing cover. Thankfully the seatbelt light was off and the front bathroom was empty and I had a whole thing of wipes and extra clothes for him. What a mess!!! Ds1, ds2 and I all crammed into that bathroom too as ds1 refused to be left alone and I was flying solo with them!
