Noooooo graybaby!! I am sooo sorry. That happened to me (about 50 oz) in June. DS's pedi said to just use it within 5 days. So I didn't get to breastfeed at all and just pumped while DS was fed the thawed milk.

This is my plan. I'll be pumping for the next few days and freezing that. 5 days would be nice! I could totally use it by then. But I have always heard 2 was max. Maybe I'll try smelling them after 2 days and see if they smell bad?
Yah maybe just smell and possibly taste it first. If the bags were still cold they are probably fine.
I got pulled into my VP's office this morning and was told they are promoting me, plus I got the maximum bonus for our last fiscal year!! I am getting about a 14% raise. I am so pumped, but a little worried because I am taking on new responsibilities on top of what I was already doing. She said she thought I had the capacity because I was able to meet my goals for the fiscal year before I went out on maternity leave...but it was a lot of extra work to do that and I'm not sure I'd like to repeat that pace.
I'm lucky if we get 30 minutes or more of napping. Occasionally she will sleep for an hour or more but it's so random. But she's always sleeps about 9pm to about 8am....so if that means no day naps. I'm not complaining!
I have been in an all day meeting, I was supposed to give my presentation from 1:30-2:00. I ended up giving it from 3:00-4:00. I thought my boobs were going to explode. Pumping does not work well with unplanned schedule changes

Any possibility you can talk to your boss about this?

I really could have snuck out at any point, well until I was actually giving my presentation. It was a working meetin, and discussions just went longer than planned, I just did not realize how late everything was running till it was too late to run out and pump before my part.
Well today went downhill real fast. I have the flu with a fever and everything. DH is traveling for work. The dogs got into a dirty diaper (which has never happened before) and M projectile vomited while I was holding him and turning, so the whole living room was covered. Is it bed time yet?

buttercup, he is adorable! My little guy is still in 0-3 too. He just hit 13 lbs this week and he'll be 5 months on the 30th! BTW, I'm so jealous that he'll just fall asleep like that!
I've drank way too much coffee today, and I am worried I won't sleep tonight. Might go for a long walk with DD to burn some energy.
I've been really overdoing it with caffeine, too, lately. I hope you are able to fall asleep at a decent time. Also, good luck with the Zippadee Zip! It didn't work for us, but I know it's worked wonders for other babies!
graybaby, I'm so sorry! I hope you can save most of it!
scotty138, I hope you and M feel better. Weren't you guys just sick? That's not fair
Last night, DH's mom's parents met DS for the first time. They are snow birds, and normally would have come back in June but his grandpa got prostate cancer and was doing treatments.
Anyway, as I was leaving last night, DH's grandma said to me that DH is lucky to have me, and that I'm doing a great job with DS. That feels so good to hear

Yes! We had HFM a month ago. Prior to that I can't remember the last time I even had a cold. I never get sick. I'm starting to feel much better today so hopefully it's just a short bug.
I know the car seat business is a few pages back, and I hate to revive a dead topic, but I have to say this. Since my daughter was born, I've been in three car accidents. Two of those she was in the car with me. One of those was fairly serious. None of them were my fault or were anything I could have possibly prevented.
The worst of those, which put the other driver in the hospital and left me with a concussion with symptoms that lasted 3 weeks, my daughter was 2.5. She is big for her age. I could have, by all the normal arguments and even current guidelines, turned her FF before that accident, but I had not because I am crazy paranoid, and I am so glad I didn't. If she had been FF in that accident, she could have been seriously injured. As it was, she was totally fine, the only one not to have any bumps or bruises or more serious injuries. The thing all the first responders said to me was that as long as she was RF in her car seat, she was the safest person in our vehicle.
I think a lot of parents do not think an accident, especially not a serious accident, can happen to them or their babies. They can. They do. They think their baby being comfortable is more important than their baby being safe, because the possibility of a bad accident happening is so slim. It's not. There is absolutely nothing scarier than having an accident happen so quickly you never saw it coming, that it takes you a few seconds to even process what just happened and why you aren't where you are supposed to be, and then to realize your baby is in the back seat, you have no idea what condition the back seat of your car is in, and your child could be hurt or worse. It's awful. And in that moment, it will not matter if your kids legs are so long they have to fold them up to sit RF or if they fuss riding backwards or even if they get car sick riding backwards as my daughter did. You will realize that a kid crying in your backseat on every run of the mill trip is worth it if they're an alive, uninjured kid when some dumbass runs into you.
Kind of like vaccines, this isn't something I can be TETO about, because unlike a lot of things parents go fucking crazy about that make no real difference in their child's health and safety, how you put your kid in a car seat can be the difference between your kid walking away from an accident unharmed and your kid being hospitalized or dead. It's a big. fucking. deal. Please RF your babies for as long as you can. Just...please. You will not regret it, but you may regret changing them to FF at 15 months for reasons that after an accident will sound so, so, so ridiculous.
And now I'm stepping off my soapbox and going to bed. Thanks for listening to me be crazy.
jags8 i'm pretty sure you just popped up in my 'people you may know' on Facebook - I guess because of IG? These algorithms are a little too know it all sometimes.
Creepy! Don't skin suit me please! PM me what name came up.
My mail carrier lost my cloth diaper package today. She marked it as if our box was full but there's nothing in there and she didn't return the package to the office so I can't even go pick it up. I want my fluff mail!

birkmmm is on my "people you may know". We have a mutual friend and we follow each other on IG! FB is creepy like that (and apparently so am I!)
USPS returned my LilleBaby to sender... because it was the "wrong address" but that's bullshit. IF they really did mess it up like the guy on the phone said it's when FedEx Smartpost handed it over to USPS because LilleBaby had the correct address on the receipt they sent me.
It took 45 minutes to talk to someone yesterday (over the internet which is always risky because calls drop much easier) and he said their system was down and to call back in an hour... wtf. I sent an email trying to explain. This is the second time this has happened. I've already been waiting 14 days to get it and now it's been sent back and I'm not even sure I should order another one since USPS doesn't know what the hell to do with the mail...
Next month is my second wedding anniversary and the traditional gift is cotton. I got MH a tshirt with one of his favorite musicians on it. I'm trying to think of something else to get him but, he can be so hard to shop for.
Bag of cotton balls?
Kidding.
DH used cotton balls instead of tissue paper in my gift bag 😂
He got me a cotton blanket and a cotton candy maker. I got him a cotton robe from the hotel where we stayed on the night of our wedding (high quality, $100)
I really like LO's physical therapist. She is pregnant now so we were talking about having babies in Colombia. She said a baby weighing 3100 grams is considered large here (about 6 lb 13 oz) she was shocked that LO was 8 pounds. She also said LO is at least the size of a 7 month old baby here (she is a week shy of 5 months and has usually measured just less than 50%
I cried at the peds. She could sense something. H was there and told her I am afraid of being seprated from him. She told me I am doing a great job. Its intense to have to hold up your baby all day. He gained apprioately. She wants me to keep waking to feed.
My poor little buddy just woke up crying with a fever from his shots yesterday. I nursed him, gave him Tylenol, changed his diaper, changed him into a lighter sleep-sack, and then we snuggled for a bit. He was being so cute snuggled into me, playing with my hands. Usually at night I'm happy when I can go back to bed, but this time I just wanted to stay in the rocker snuggling DS.
It's supposed to get up to 91-92 today which sucks because hardly anyone in my area has AC. I swear the owner of my company's building is stingy with it too since it doesn't feel that cold.
Gross! It's beautiful where I live today. Partly sunny, upper 60s, nice light breeze.
