A slept for almost 6 hours straight in his crib last night. I learned (FINALLY), my son does like to be swaddled, but loosely. It seemed counterintuitive that he wasn't super snug, but I put him to bed drowsy and he fussed for a hot second and then passed out. I feel like a new woman. I hope this wasn't a rogue experience!
That's awesome! I'm now being forced to move my lo to the crib. She is too long for her bassinet in the pack and play. She doesn't take naps lately and hasn't stayed asleep in crib for more than 20 min. Any tips?
Can you put her in the PNP as opposed to the bassinet in the PNP?

I could do that but I figured as long as we are changing that I might as well move to a crib.

It's single pane glass that's probably 80-100 years old. She barks at anything that moves outside and there's a new dog next door. My guess based on all the evidence is that she had her paws up on the windowsill and her claws broke it.
I accidentally deleted the entire contents of my DVR just now. 192 shows and movies, some of DH's, some of DD's and some of mine. Fuuuuuuuck. We all lost something important to us today. It's a sad day in my household.
That's awful! I would be so sad. Does your cable provider have online or free on demand? I can watch a lot of popular shows with this feature (downside is there isn't always a fast forward option this way).

rungirlrun No, no way to restore what was lost. lovegrilledcheese We have direct tv, so we do have on-demand, but our internet speed often can't keep up--it stops to buffer constantly and drives me nuts. But we can download from on demand, just minus the FF capability, like you said. I'm just so mad at myself.
H and DS1 are staying overnight at the beach house. It's just me and B! I'm currently starfishing in my bed alone and B is sleeping in his crib. He hasn't napped since 4 so he was super cranky when I put him down.

Making sure he gets a mini nap around 6:00 really sets the mood for going to bed. A is dealing with reflux so I try to nurse and burp him, then hold him upright for sleepy snuggles for 20-30 min. I make sure his crib is ready with the sleep sack swaddle opened up and white noise (needs to be loud) so I can hurry to get him in bed without much disturbance. After upright time, I sloooowly get up and sway into the dark bedroom and sway another 3-5 minutes until I'm sure he's sleepy but not sleeping. Quick put him in swaddle and position him for sleep. He usually stirs, so I put my hand on his chest and shush him until he stops. He usually fusses for 2 min before soothing himself to sleep. If he cries, I pick him up and sway again and start the cycle over. Good luck!!
