watermelonseed I meant to comment yesterday but you seriously look so good for just having a baby!!
We are headed to the fair this afternoon. I'm hoping it's not too hot and I can make it to the tractor pull tonight. DS has been talking about this fair for weeks! I'm excited to go!
Good morning! Going swimming at the in law's today. It's supposed to be in the 90's all weekend.
TMI warning: Last night I started losing my muscus plug. Still losing it this morning. Is that considered the "bloody show"? I'm such a newb at this pre labor stuff since I was induced. For those who've experienced losing their plug...how long after did you go into active labor? My in law's house is 40 minutes from my hospital so I'm a little nervous. Everything I've read said it could be hours or weeks lol.

singingsea I don't know personally since all of that happened for me last time once I was in active labor, but a friend of mine lost her plug and didn't go into labor for another 2 weeks. So, like everything else, everyone's so different... It's frustrating!!! I say enjoy the weekend at your inlaws. I lived 45 mins from the hospital last time and everything was just fine!

singingsea - I was reading up yesterday and I kept seeing that show and mucus plug are not necessarily the same. Typically show will include red spotting due to capillaries bursting as you dilate where the plug is usually more old, no longer red streaks in the mucus.
That seems to be common thinking, although I'm sure this is another can be different for every mom thing.

I don't think this is my bloody show. TMI again but it's definitely all mucus. It's brownish red. There's not any actual blood.

You can lose your mucus plug early and it can even regenerate itself. Bloody show happens while in labor and typically not until you're almost in transition so like 6-7cms dilated. So you could go into labor any day now or like a week. Hopefully sooner than later though! Lol

I'm pretty sure I started losing mine yesterday too and it sounds about the same as what you're describing.

That would make sense as you and I are only a few days apart. I was cramping pretty decent last night too but it stopped. I have this "feeling" it's going to happen in the next two to fours days. Don't know why just a vibe.

Happy Saturday! We're trying to clean the house and get the nursery finished up before my in-laws arrive tomorrow, and we have a date night tonight. My sister is babysitting the kids for us tonight and is also going to take some maternity/family pics before we go to dinner since I'm running out of time. Feeling really run down today, I keep having to take breaks because I'm so out of breath.
I think I lost a bit of mucus plug last night but I don't think it means anything since I still have 5 weeks left.

I actually understand what you mean. Not as specifically as the next 2-4 days, but I just have this feeling that I won't actually make it to my due date.
I'm sure now that I've admitted that "out loud" the little guy will prove me wrong, haha.
I haven't tried latching baby E since a few days after she was born. She gave me horrible blisters so I've had to pump until they healed. Well today I've been using a shield and she's been doing so good! I'm so excited since I was never able to get DS to latch and pumped exclusively.
We went to the coffee shop and then grocery shopping this morning. H had to take DD to the car halfway through because she was running away and not listening to us. I told him I am not going grocery shopping without him until after the baby gets here.
I just paid some bills and I really have no idea how we're going to afford two in daycare. Me not working would just be a wash too. Oh well, guess we'll figure it out when we're forced to!
I'm just kind of grumpy today. H's co-worker invited him on his boat, and I'm annoyed he would ditch us but also kind of glad to get him out of the house. Hopefully this mood doesn't last because I still have a month to go!

Just got a hair cut. Baby can come now. I'm saying that every time I accomplish something.
He's moving SO low. I swear he's going to break my water with his aggressive jabs to my cervix. False hope?? Maybe just knock my plug out... Something? Anything? Pleeeeaseee.

That's so great!! I EP'ed with my older daughter too and so far these babies are latching so much better than she ever did. Fingers crossed we both have better nursing experiences this time!
God I'm having a bad day. Normally I don't really mind cleaning up after my husband. He does a lot of helpful things. But I am hurting and tired today. My toddler is being a nightmare. I don't have it in me to clean up after him and her right now.

I had quite a bit of that after my last internal. Have you had one recently?
Regarding the whole mucus plug thing... I know I hear a lot that it will have some blood in it, but does it have to? Three or four times over the last week I've had huge, I mean HUGE, globs of mucus when wiping. Not blood or even spotting of any kind, but it is usually preceded by a little bit of cramping for a bit.

Spent the day with DD. H went on an all day play date with his friends. Closest I can describe. They went zip lining, shooting, and to an escape room.
My back is fucked from just picking up after the toddler and trying to simply take care of her all day.
No signs of anything having to do with labor so far. I'm ok with that. There is still so much I want to get done before the baby arrives. I have to go slow though because this shit is hard now.
