Oh geez, H is so useless sometimes. It's just us with the kids and I told him DD could watch tv in our room while I took care of the baby because H said he needed to work (in our room). He didn't close the gate on the stairs so when I went down, I saw DD was on the kitchen table, had thrown stuff down, and was putting stickers on the table. There were also some dishes someone left on the table so I'm glad she didn't get hurt...he didn't even know she had left.
We had a rough day. My oldest's friend fell off his bike and hurt himself pretty bad while they were riding bikes. He's okay but it was a scary situation. My H called me to go let his parents, our neighbors, know and in walking over there to tell him I stepped in a hole in the grass and fell with K. K appears to be fine. He jerked some and hit the grass, but the pedi thinks he's fine. I twisted my ankle and it's swelling now.

I could use a do over.
That is a rough day! Hope you can take it easy tonight & have a better day tomorrow!
I had zero patience today with DD1, and it makes me terrified of having 2 outside kids. I just got so fed up with her swinging from sweet n snuggly to making me tell her 10 times, and yelling the 11th, to do anything. Its not like she didn't understand me, either. Ugh. Especially things like diaper changes or naptime (which never actually happened) where SHE asked ME first! I swear sometimes I feel like a five year old trying to deal with her. And a bad mom. Its not like I had any patience before I had kids, either....

venyia FWIW I ran out of patience for DS the last few weeks of pregnancy. He was testing limits big-time, and I didn't handle it well. His behavior & my patience have both been much better since the baby was born. What's happening now may not carry over for you post-baby. I'm sorry it's got you feeling like a bad mom in the meantime.
dorkusmalorkus, oh thank god it isn't just us. And you give me hope for post-baby birth. I was afraid this was the new normal. I just haven't been physically able to do the redirects and picking up and stuff to keep her focused, hence why I break down yelling sometimes. I truly hope that between my rediscovered toddler-chasing ability and new baby plus new routine, that we can get past this stage. She has it in her to be such a sweetheart. Sigh.
Woah. That is not friendship. 😡 You can have FB remove pictures on your behalf, FYI.
How? I don't have fb and haven't even seen the photo. What type of infornation would I need?
Google search the person's name along with the word Facebook @suesposa.
If they have any public activity (or a public profile) you should get hits and be able to follow links to their page. Hopefully the picture is private but if it is not, then you can click on it and click report.
And I'm sorry to hear about their loss. That's just tragic.

My kids were being adorable today and H took them to the natural science museum. I'm sad I couldn't go but I completely over did it yesterday and need a day to just kinda rest w baby M.
There is a book called Danny and the Dinosaur where a little boy goes to the museum and the Dino comes alive. S2 kept Shouting "we are going to the museum like Danny!!!!!" He is so excited. He will be sad when the Dino isn't alive.

Feeling overwhelmed today. H has a bunch of work to get done which means I'm pretty much just on. Which I guess I should get used to because that will be the norm once he is back at school and work in a couple weeks... but with two babies it is just non-stop.
G had a pretty liquidy poop this morning, I hope she's not sick or developing a food intolerance. I did eat spicy wings last night so I am going to avoid spicy food for a while.

We're finally doing "newborn" pictures today (despite S turning 1 month old yesterday. #procrastination), plus some birthday pics of the bigs. I'm like 90% sure I'm just going to dress everyone in denim shirts and jeans because coordinating clothes for 5 people (starting with the hot pink dress DD1 picked out months ago) is slowly killing me.

Your future self empathizes with the struggle but asks you not to do denim on denim.
What do you have to work with? We can help!
I did blue polos (different shades though) and khaki shorts for my boys with baby M in a hot pink wrap. They turned out fantastic.
When S2 was born H was in a light purple polo, S1 in a light blue one, both had jeans. I worke a black shirt and jeans and S2 was just in a white cloth diaper. It turned out really well.
Maybe all in jeans and then a variety of solid shirts? Either all cool or all warm colors?

We pretty much do blue plus another color, or just shades of blue, every year. Blue, pink, and neutrals could totally work.

coffeequeen14 Ha! No, I wouldn't actually do denim on denim DD1 has the hot pink tutu dress. I actually did find a short sleeve button down for DS that's blue & pink plaid. DD2 has a light pink tutu. I think I need to introduce a new color (?), and I'm not sure what shorts DS should wear, or clothes for DH or I. It's almost 90 here and some pics will be outdoors. DH and I both have solid navy/blue shirts, although mine are all sleeveless & id strongly prefer to have my arms covered, but it's hot for cardigans. I have a couple of pink shirts, but they're not super flattering at the moment.

I like the blue and pink button down! I think pink and blue might be enough color. Can you do either shades of that for you and H or neutrals? And shorts I'd stick w neutrals or jeans.

Stealthy edit wasn't as stealthy as I'd hoped! Yeah, we can do navy and jeans, and was debating khaki shorts or jeans for DS. Sounds like I'm on the right track. Thanks for your help!
What'd you get? I only got some yoga pants and shirts online.
A couple of clearance clothinv things for the kids, I got the boys' Christmas pajamas, a couple of cleaning items and a few bday gifts for upcoming parties
@suesposa- totally blaming you for the fact that I'm eating pop tarts this morning
The important question here is--what flavor did you get?
I only eat frosted strawberry--slightly heated, or smores--cold is acceptable as is slightly heated. I'm allergic to chocolate though so the smores were a rare treat with much benadryl..and an epipen once.
I decided to cut out dairy in hopes LO's belly will stop hurting. DH just ate a giant plate of nachos with so much cheese and now a bowl of cereal. And he's eating the cereal loudly. I'm going to go cry now.
