Aaand I'm back. Sam was extra stubborn going down and didn't fall asleep for good until a little after 1 and slept for just over 2 hours...H couldn't get him to take a bottle and had decided to stay in our room for it so I had a very angry, screaming baby screeching in my ear until I finally sat up and took him. We definitely need to work on the whole bottle issue during the day, it's just too much for MOTN.
I'm sorry for the struggles. I think YH should take him out of the room to feed him. Reason 1: give you a break. Even when babies feed perfectly with a bottle, it causes noise, and you deserve some rest. Reason 2: Sam might be able to smell you in the room and it might be causing him to refuse the bottle because the best thing is right within reach. You might have to get some other bottles to try, too.

Usually they do go downstairs, but H had mentioned last night he felt the reason Sam wasn't taking a bottle easily was because he was in full on meltdown mode by the time they got down there and got the bottle out of the fridge and warmed up. Last night I decided to try pumping right before bed and leaving the bottle out at room temp in our room to try and minimize meltdown time. Sam just gets so upset so quickly if he isn't fed right when he wants it, it's frustrating...but you are right about H needing to do it in another room at least, I'll tell him to go to the nursery next time.
rungirlrun I didn't start watching until the end of Chris' season, but have watched every season since. It's addicting! I feel the same as you, wasn't a fan of him at all on Kaitlyn's season but now I kind of just feel bad for the guy and think he deserves to be the next Bachelor haha
I'm addicted as well! Someone at my old job knew the new bachelor when he was younger and knows his mom and she said he really is a nice guy so I'm glad he came off better in BIP. I'm excited for it!

I feel like these shows are always picking people and portraying them in certain ways all for the show. On Kaitlyn's season they made him come across so arrogant but on BIP he seems so much more genuine and caring, so I'm glad to hear that seems to be more accurate! I can't believe I'm so into these stupid shows now haha

I agree. I can't believe I'm so into these shows either. I used to always make fun of my H because he watched it and then I got sucked in!
Dislike! I feel like I didn't have much of a summer, between being pregnant and it being to hot to get outside with a newborn. Hopefully September's weather will be decent!
F is asleep in my lap... Dh's alarm is set to go off in 4 minutes. Then he'll hit snooze a bunch of times. May just sit here until 5:30 when he actually gets up.
OMG...I don't know what happened but Sam slept for 4.5 hours last night AND took a bottle from H! I'm having to top him off right now because I wasn't really planning on H trying and only had 4oz for him, but it's all good. Just happy he took it!

Tonight HAS to be better. So tired I wanted to cry tonight.
My H is sick and can't help, which I understand. But it's so frustrating that he thinks caring for 2 kids is nbd (unless he's doing it, in which case it's horrible but only because they're on their worst behavior with him, obviously they're never bad for mommy). Tonight he was like oh, you're tired? Just go to bed at 8 after DD1 is in bed!
He has no clue. The newb spends her evening taking 20 minute naps, waking up crying, and needs to be patted back to sleep, repeat for 3 hrs. Not bad for a newborn, but WTF to thinking i can just go to sleep.

Ugh I have an unhappy wide awake baby who alternates between nursing for a hot second and screaming. This is fun. I think he has gas bc he let out 2 man sized burps. I feel for him, but come on kid. I'm tired.
Good luck tonight everyone. I can't wait for this thread to become extinct.
I wish DD2 would nurse to sleep. That's how I put DD1 back to sleep for 14 months. My back has been killing me lately so I really can't rock this one for long. I'm not good at this
F slept 5.5 hours until 1am and I caught 4 magical hours of those! FX he has another good chunk! Hope your bébé goes down easy and gives you back a break tonight ellebelle
A went down for his evening mini nap at 6:30. It's 10:00 and he just woke up. Not so mini. I hope he sleeps well the rest of the night.
This was us, L slept the whole 2.5 hours up to the cottage and then some, when usually he's wide awake during that time. We're up for our first feeding after a three hour stretch, not bad!
Aaaand he just threw up on me... Dude, I'm hoping to avoid laundry for the next five days until we get home!
Had a good first stretch. 4 hours. Thank goodness. I needed it. Now the rest of the night is always a shit show.
Yesterday was a terrible day. Ds1 refused to use the toilet and peed in his underwear twice. He was an all around terror yesterday. As soon as H came home I handed him the baby and walked out the door. I told him I'd be back in a half an hour. I needed to be away from everyone. I felt better when I came back. Today needs to be better with ds1.
