No, not really but we never separate out Sunday.
Today is one of those days I look around my house and realise I need to intervene with the disaster that is taking place around me. I also need to shower because I didn't all weekend and we're having supper with friends tonight. I should also wash my kids because I'm pretty sure DD1 has had lollipop residue in her hair since Friday and still has facepaint in her hair from Saturday. And well DD2 gets banana in her hair everyday and at a certain point wiping her head with a washcloth isn't enough.
I've really been letting things go these past couple days. Time to put on my mom panties and deal with it.

My DD had an epic meltdown this morning over a blueberry muffin (mh broke a piece off to give to C). She refused to eat it then wailed and screamed all the way to daycare. It's really set the tone for the day and now I'm in a funk. I'm going to walk over to sbux soon and see if I can't lift my spirits.

yummeecookee, Been there, toddler meltdowns are the worst...many hugs and enjoy your starbucks lol
We had a very long weekend, fun but long. We were away this weekend so as much as we aren't a schedule type of family with our kids and their naps/routine, just being away and swimming and be busy all weekend made it enough that put them both out of sorts so we all paid last night at bedtime lol Then my alarm went off and it was one of those moments where you wonder how the hell is it time to get up already? Fuck you Monday morning.

I'm tired. We are dog sitting an old dog, so guess who got to wake up with her at midnight when she wanted out. Then again for the baby. And when DD stirred again at 5:30, he quickly said can I just bring her in? Sure, you get to wake up for 2 mins to bring her in...

I know every kid is different, but how long will this last??? She is going to be 3 at thanksgiving. She's been having tantrums since maybe 2.5yr old (may/June). An i in the thick of it now or has it only begun?

littleredfish as I was attempting to clean the playroom the other day I kept wondering to myself how and why did I even let this happen? It's a disaster zone and I'm ready to just get rid of everything.

Just running a few errands today and cleaning up the house a bit. DD2 is finally starting to take to solids a little better and I think it's helping with sleep. At least that's what I'm hoping and that the last couple of nights weren't a fluke.

I want my sweet, happy girl back!!!
I have a boy so I am not sure if that makes a difference but MAN OH MAN, Mine turned 3 when my LO was 2 months old and it was like he woke up with attitude and it hasn't gone away. lol When he is alone he is perfect most of the time but once he 3, the teenage outbursts....yeah I lucked out at 2 but HATE 3...the whining and meltdowns over NOTHING grates on my nerves lol

Yup, 3 is the worst. I'm just starting to get my sweet helper back at 4. But now we're in a bossy phase. Fewer out of the blue, wtf just happened, kind of tantrums.

Yesterday we took E to is first baseball game. He loved it! Well he loved all the people giving him attention lol. But man is this kid clingy. I cannnot leave his sight. DH thinks it's cute and he misses his mommy but mommy needs to pee every once in a while.
sassypantzz , ggod luck! I recommend a nebulizer lol Got me through some hard snotty times lol
Excuse my ignorance... is that OTC? Or do I need a script for it? TELL ME MORE
I am not sure if you can get it over the counter, you may be able to order online. But I got mine with prescription and basically paid nothing plus a huge box of saline liquid to go in it. As soon as my kids start getting snotty and to be honest me also we start using it. Now I have it with its handy little travel bag and love it. I think anyone with small kids should have one. Only my opinion.

we "lovingly" refer to our daughter as a threenager..........

Another threenager here who threw an EPIC fit last night. He had a long day and was exhausted, but he was screaming like a howler monkey and we could NOT calm him down. So we put him in his room and let him scream for about 3 minutes. He finally calmed down enough to get ready for bed, but holy hell...it was like he was possessed.
DD on the other hand, slept an insane amt yesterday. Anyone else notice their LO seems to be making up for naps lost on the weekend? She had an almost 4 hr mid morning nap, then 90 minutes early evening. Went to bed essentially normal time and slept until 730 (one wake up at 5 to eat). I'm mildly worried she is sleeping so much on the weekends...but I am hoping she's just making up for things.

Jesus I can not handle it if 3 is worse than 2. My DD1 has been having defiant/screaming meltdowns about minor/nonexistent offenses since well before she turned 2. I remember asking my mom, "can terrible 2 start at 18 months?!?" Recently we changed our strategy and it has seemed to make a difference but I'm just holding on for dear life that she just decided to do this phase a little early and that maybe, just maybe, it will end early too?
