How is everything going? Feeding, sleeping, etc.: Feeding is great. EBF 8-10 times a day, and he's a really efficient eater. Sleep has finally gotten better. He slept 7:30-5:30 last night!
Any milestones or AWs?: He can now roll both ways and has started to army crawl short distances. His first tooth cut through last week and his second will probably cut today. He's really uncomfortable.
How are you doing?: I'm doing OK. I wish I had more family support. DH and I are in a tough spot and I would like some one on one time to work things out. We don't have a reliable sitter and my parents are generally too busy to help, even for a couple hours.
Any questions or concerns?: I'm really nervous about M's appt on 9/14 with the nephrologist. The closer we get the more I worry. If his kidney hasn't improved since last time I think they are going to recommend a pretty intense surgery (moving his ureters).
QOTW: What are you looking forward to in the next month? Cool weather and fall baking! My garden is producing more than I expected, so I have my work cut out for me!
How is everything going? Feeding, sleeping, etc.: Feeding is better, she isn't as stiff so she doesn't cry as much while nursing. Sleep could be better but the dr said that if she rolls to her belly on her own to just leave her there. I had been rolling her back since she gets stuck but she is plenty strong enough in her chest to lift and cry so we will leave her when she does it tonight. She naps so well on her belly that I think it will make nighttime better too. DD1 started sleeping on her belly just shy of 6 months old and she slept that way until she was like 2.5 years old.
Any milestones or AWs?: She is great at rolling back to belly but since she won't keep her arms forward she hasn't figured out how to roll to her back again.
How are you doing?: Honestly a bit hit or miss. If I get a decent nights sleep I'm okay for a couple days. But if we have multiple rough nights in a row I can tell I'm being really short with DD1 and I feel terrible about it. She had always been such a sweet kid and she doesn't deserve it.
Any questions or concerns? PT has been going well. Her head is already looking more rounded she is a lot better at bringing her arms above her head but still struggling with bringing/keeping them in front of her. Tomorrow is supposed to be her last session but I'm not sure if the Dr will clear her because of the arms. I am kind of hoping she does and gives us exercises and says to come back in a month. I'm tired because it takes up all morning by the time we get there and get home.
QOTW: What are you looking forward to in the next month? I'm not really sure! She is just a little more fun every day so nothing specific just love how mug more interactive she is becoming.
How is everything going? Feeding is going great, except he gets distracted while nursing now. So lots of nip slips. Sleep is hit or miss. Sometimes he sleeps 9+ hours straight. Last night he was up 10:45, 3:00, 6:00.
Any milestones or AWs?: no new ones
How are you doing?: tired but happy
QOTW: What are you looking forward to in the next month? We are going to start purées at the end of September!
How is everything going? Feeding, sleeping, etc.: Sleeping at night is good. She'll sleep 8:30 to 6-7am. We do usually have to put the paci back in once or twice at the beginning of the night. Naps are hit or miss, usually miss - 20-30 min catnaps. Occasionally we'll get a 2-3 hour one. Feeding is ok. I'm nursing or pumping twice a day now. I should be done by the end of the week. I've tried giving her baby oatmeal, but she has not gotten the hang of solids yet - that or she doesn't like it! I'm going to try sweet potatoes tonight and see how that goes.
Any milestones or AWs?: She's working on sitting unsupported but we're still a ways away from that. She's too wiggly! She's recently taken a liking to sucking on her toes.
How are you doing?: I'm ok! I'm getting nervous for the trip to Ohio for my brother's wedding. H and I are standing up, I'm also singing, and the boys are ring bearers. I don't know how we're going to keep control over those stinkers that day. I think it's going to be very stressful, but I'm trying not to worry about it.
Any questions or concerns?: She's such a sloppy eater lately, letting milk dribble down her chin and neck. She loves grabbing at the bottle while eating. It's such a mess. She dribbles when nursing too, so I don't know what the deal is.
QOTW: What are you looking forward to in the next month? I'm excited for my brother to marry his gf of 13 years, even though it's not going to be fun for us to wrangle the kids.
How is everything going? Feeding, sleeping, etc.: Feeding is going well, he is easily distracted, and has clamped down a few times recently though. Sleeping is not great
Any milestones or AWs?: He is grabbing things, and bringing them to his mouth now. Still not rolling back to front though, and it is really frustrating him.
How are you doing?: some days are better than others. I am so tired, I almost caused a car accident this morning, and that completley freaked me out and upset me. My parents are coming into town this week, for a week, so that will be nice, hopefully. DH and I are going on a date night on thursday, so hopefully that will be good.
Any questions or concerns?:
QOTW: What are you looking forward to in the next month? My parents visiting, and cooler weather.

4.5 months
Nighttime sleep is awful. AWFUL. We're up every 1-1.5 hours. I'm exhausted. Naps are still good though, praise God. Nursing is going well. No solids.
He's a rolling, giggling, and jabbering machine.
I'm pretty tired and beat up, but an keeping perspective. My oldest turned nine this week and that was crazy to me. He was just a baby yesterday. I know that this phase will be over before I know it. Trying to savor the baby deliciousness, even if tired while doing it.
Baby caught his big siblings' sickness they had been passing around for the last few weeks. Coughing started last night. Some of the other kids had nasty fevers, so I'm praying the baby is spared. We have our WC visit today, so I am relieved to have him looked over.
In September I'm looking forward to cooler weather, football, my fall garden in full bloom, the end of canning season, and getting back into a school routine.
How did I forget about football? I'm so excited for football to start. This will be the year I win our ff league, I hope!
This will be the year the Browns win the Superbowl.
Heh. Who am I kidding? At this point I'd settle for awinning season if nothing else.
My dad always talks up the Browns in August. "This is our year! They're going to surprise us." He's got nothing good to say about them this year, though.
How is everything going? Feeding, sleeping, etc.: Sleep-still up every 3 hrs with 30min naps. So TIRED. Feeding is pretty good, EBF. Pumping and working is the suck, though.
Any milestones or AWs?: Some real good laughs, finally! Also, this kid loves the bath. We just had some photos done with a nerd theme, and we got the teaser photos yesterday. THEY ARE SO CUTE! I can't wait to see the rest!
How are you doing?: Still pretty blah, but having 1 or 2 good days per week now.
Any questions or concerns?: Diagnosis is "purple crying" and we just have to wait it out.
QOTW: What are you looking forward to in the next month? I want to see him sit up and play! I think once he gets to sit up or roll when he wants to (not by accident) he'll be a mover & a shaker. Also, we have family vaca at the end of the month and I can't wait!!
Glad to hear you are getting a couple good days per week. Hope you have a great vacation! What are the plans for vacation?
We rent the same beach house on a quiet, gorgeous stretch of beach. We turn off the cell phones and computers. It is my favorite week of the year, by far. I feel like my 4 yr old daughter grows up just a little bit each time we go. My heart is very full after that week.
This year, we are also going with DH's family. The last time we were all together was our wedding 10+ yrs ago. His father is slowly declining so this is an important week for his family. We are all staying in the same area but different units, so we can be together when we want but also have privacy when we want.
There is a turtle hospital there as well, and DD is mesmerized. She always comes away with a love of wildlife. To see her romping in the waves or playing pretend in the sand...I can't even describe it. Last year I was SO SICK with the pregnancy it was tough, but THIS year I am so excited.
This place is magic for us. Can you tell I like it, just a bit?

I love to hear about your excitement for it! You really really deserve an amazing week! Maybe the week will work some magic on your LO and he goes home a happy baby who loves his sleep!
Thank you so much. I really appreciate the kindness. I feel like I am just emerging from baby hell and it is SO REFRESHING to come back to the boards and be welcomed with warmth and open arms.
MissMusic, I am so glad to hear that things are starting to get a bit better, and happy to see you back posting again. I hope things continue to improve!
