pismoduo - Being even a little dehydrated could impact both your BP and protein in your urine. Drink up and hopefully all will be good but in the meantime sorry you have to do the 24-hour catch.

Time to get the big cup out again, I guess. I got tired of having to pee every half hour.
The lady at the lab who gave me the jug told me that I wouldn't be able to pee directly into it. Pssh, shows what she knows. I've peed into smaller openings before. I used to use a shot glass for OPKs.
The hospital tour was kind of lame, by the way. They said it takes 2 hours... It took 40 minutes. They had one of the post partum nurses who doesn't really do labor stuff leading it, so she barely covered any of the stuff about pain management options and birthing options that the website for the center says will be covered. I mean, it was nice to see where everything would be and see the rooms and such.

Sorry you have to do a 24 hour collection, pismoduo. I had to do a couple of them with DD and they are annoying for sure. Nothing screams fun like lugging a giant plastic jug full of pee to the lab....

I also have too much time on my hands apparently. I wrote a blog post the other day while I made layered jello. My aunt suggested that I start a blog because of the awesome birthday party I threw for DD. I have a few blogs, but I was having such a hard time with this layered jello thing that I thought I'd write one because I figured it'd be funny. I also decided that I would spare none of the f-bombs. Not sure if this is what she intended when she suggested it, but if I were to have a mom blog it would have all the f-bombs.
pismoduo, I had to do the 24 hour collection last time. Good thing you'll be home. The worst is to not forget it when you go pee 10 times during the night, lol. I hope the results come back negative.
Hi all! MIL came in last night a week earlier than she was supposed to. My doula came on Sunday and said G was really really low and his heart tones slowed, which she says means he's ready and waiting on me to be ready. Did I tell y'all this already? Sorry, can't remember.
Anyways, I would love for him to come tomorrow. I like the 1st for a bday. So today I went to the chiropractor, ate lots of Indian food, and am about to drink some RRL tea. Tonight I will also dtd with DH and lots of nip stim. And tomorrow I have an acupuncture appt.
I've always been a "they will come when they're ready" person and have side eyed the fuck out of people who try to bring on labor early, but I've been having soooo many contractions. I can literally feel his head moving in my pelvis!
I won't be disappointed if he doesn't come, but I doubt I'll continue eating Indian food, that shit is spicy!!!!

Ugh, I forgot about middle of the night. I usually only end up having to go once right before bed, once in the middle and then right when I get up, but the fridge is downstairs from our bedroom.
And I have a HOA meeting tomorrow night too, so if I start in the morning I'll have to either hold it all the way through or bring it with me. Damn it.

You only have to get up once? Wow! I was up 4 times last night!!
Hard to tell if needing to pee wakes me or the hip pain, but whenever I wake up from hip pain I have to pee so 4 times it was...

Apparently I have a bladder of steel while sleeping. Most nights it's just the once - I pee around 10:30 when I get into bed, then sometime around 2am I wake up, then at 6 when the alarm goes off.
If I'm having trouble sleeping or getting comfortable it's more often.
During the day it's like every hour, 90 minutes at the max. Today I went when I got to the OB's office and by the time I left 40 minutes later I had to pee again. Save
Ugh. All this talk with the OB about pre-e and the protein and my blood pressure now has me irrationally paranoid. I have a very minor headache, mostly likely a combo of not sleeping well lately and my sinuses going crazy because the weather is changing. But of course, this leads that tiny over-reacting part of my brain to FREAK OUT because obviously it's pre-e even though I have nothing else to go on and the OB described the headache I'd have if it was pre-e as "the worst headache of your life that will not go away no matter what".
Damn it. T-minus 11 days and I can stop freaking out about this kind of stuff.
On the plus side, I gave in and had the most amazing cannoli at the Italian restaurant we had dinner at tonight. Some of our friends from college were in town and we had dinner with them. H is grouchy at me because I didn't realize the special I ordered was $38 until the bill came. But it was tooootally worth it. That tenderloin was a.maz.ing.
I find it incredibly irritating that Amazon does include nursing bras in the items eligible for completion discount, yet it's on their list of recommended items for your registry.
pismoduo, I was in the exact position you were at the end of my last pregnancy and I was also paranoid. I've never had the headache, but I was told it was going to be like on your forehead and that nothing would make it go away. Add the blurry vision and pain under the boobs to the things to watch out for and I was a hot mess, lol.

pismoduo - You mentioned you hadn't been doing as well drinking water so start there before you freak yourself out too much. Water intake can affect headaches too.
And I heard the same. That a pre-e headache is usually severe and not just a "oh I have a headache" type pain.
I get it because I've had the same thoughts last time I had a slight headache, but this is how I thought through it to make myself feel better.
Thanks Ladies. I finally got a fairly solid night of sleep and feel a little better about the whole thing today. Apparently I just needed it to rain like crazy all night to put me to sleep.
