Good morning! How is everyone today? I'm up early drinking a cup of coffee in peace and hoping we get released from work early today for the holiday weekend.
My OB appointment yesterday wasn't great, BP is even higher than it was the last 2 weeks, so next week she wants to discuss scheduling an induction at 38 weeks. I have a BPP on Wednesday to check on baby and my regular appt on Thursday, so we'll see how it goes. My group B strep test also came back positive so I'm a little freaked out about that, it's never happened in my other pregnancies. I'm having a surprising amount of feels about possible induction/not making it to the end (which I know is ridiculous but I just feel defeated and like my body is failing me & baby)
merryrissmas, I feel you. I'm pretty much in the same position, induction hasn't been discussed yet, but my BP is creeping up. I'm also GBS positive. I also was last time. We'll be alright.

Sorry the appointment didn't go well merryrissmas. 38 weeks is close enough to the "end"! And don't feel ridiculous for having feelings about all that. It's not ridiculous at all!!
Try not to worry about the GBS - it just means you'll need antibiotics at the hospital before delivery.

I just need to get through today at work then I can relax and enjoy the long weekend. Unfortunately today is month-end day 2 so no idea when I'll get out today, but yay weekend!!
Sorry about the bad appt merryrissmas. I hope your and sodapop's BP stays down
DH left to drop DS off at daycare so I snuck out to get some Chick Fil A breakfast. Sipping my vanilla iced coffee in peace right now. Who knows how many peaceful mornings I'll have...
Also I ordered a second hands free pumping bra from Amazon. Apparently the seller is in China and it took like 3 weeks to get here. It's finally here and the zipper is so cheap that when you put it on, the zipper slides down. I just filed a claim with Amazon. Grrrr
I'm sorry about your BP merryrissmas and sodapop That is exactly what happened with DS. BP was fine the entire pregnancy and then was all over the place and I ended up induced at 38 weeks.

I had the same experience last time. We shall see what happens... My MW is going to do a membrane sweep next week when I'm 38 weeks.
Not that I think this baby is coming out anytime soon. I lost more mucus plug last night. Contractions were absent last night and this morning. So now I wait. Trying to stay busy this weekend. My Buckeyes play tomorrow (yaaaaassss) and DS was invited to a birthday party Sunday.

merryrissmas I understand exactly how you feel. And it sucks when you feel like your body is failing you. It's something im still struggling with. Just try to relax as hard as it is. And remember the important thing at the end of the day is doing what you need to so baby comes out safely. Some days that thought will help others your going to wish you could drop kick it. I assume this makes me a normal healthy human being so I go with it.
Sorry about all the blood pressure issues. Mine was slightly high last appt but I had just carried my 30lb baby down a very long hall. The didn't seem concerned. I fee like I'm doing this going into labor for the first time. I always considered myself lucky with DS. Water broke at 5:45am and then labor started. This time I've been having contractions like crazy, timing and then they go away at night. I never had to do that with DS and I was really hoping I didn't have to deal with not knowing if it was real this time! I have my 39 week appt today. Hoping for some dilation since I've been contracting ALL week. We'll see! I hope everyone has a great Friday!!

Im headed out to run some errands in a little bit. I have some things to exchange and I need to look at mesh fabric for the bassinet. Then maybe I'll do some more in the nursery when I get back. Maybe...

Night 2 at home was much better than night 1. And it's not even 10am and I've changed 4 poopy diapers today. Seems like he's finally getting the hang of this baby gig.
Sorry for those of you struggling with end of pregnancy issues. Soon we'll all be snuggling our squishes!
I'm at work, starting to get busy with students referred and parent calls. My Mom mentioned how at the end of pregnancy you kind of turn inwards and don't feel like socializing or even talking to other people. I totally feel that today. But closing my office door and being anti-social is unfortunately not an option so I'll have to power through.

fem... That totally happened!!! I just wanted to stay in my house and not deal with the general public... Maybe because you get tired of the same comments/questions for the entire pregnancy? Idk. But it totally happened to me, too. I didn't want to go anywhere or do anything.
My coworkers have been good so far. Most of the ones I interact with on a daily basis have kids, some really young, so I think I'm lucky that they seem to remember that leave most certainly is not a vacation and asking wow, you're still here? isn't going to make baby come any quicker.

My coworkers are all male and mechanics. Their understanding of birth and recovery is not so great

sodapop, I saw your post yesterday about your BP, sorry you're dealing with it too. Solidarity and hugs to you on the BP and GBS issues!
Thanks for all the encouragement, everyone, it really has helped me feel better about everything this morning.
lovetruly2015, special thanks for your kind words, you faced a much more stressful situation than anything I'm dealing with, and you have handled it with so much strength and positivity. You've been amazing for your sweet Jackson!
fem, I totally agree on the feeling of turning inward/not wanting to interact much with the outside world, I am starting to feel that way and remember it happening at the end of my last pregnancy too. It makes working so much harder!
We're having a great day so far. The weather finally cooled off and we ventured to the playground with all 3 kids. It felt like we had to pack for a week away. And I'm nursing in public for the first time! Since I exclusively pumped for DD1, this is so new to me. I didn't think I'd ever be doing this. I did cover up though because I felt a little weird.
Today is a month until my due date! The nesting has kicked into overdrive but I overdid it the last two days with all the cooking and baking.
DS and I ventured out to Walmart to buy new mattress protectors for the bahy's crib and bonus I found some FSTs which I plan to use as inserts in my nb diapers.
Also it appears DS is teething. Nasty poops, diaper rash and orajel seems to calm him down. He doesn't have his 2 year molars yet so I expect it's one of them. Joy.
We are having a potential In house sitter come meet with us this afternoon at our home.
Then my mom is getting out of work a little early and has insisted to watch P so we can go out to eat. I'm sure we will do nothing but talk about our little Miss.
Sorry your appointment didn't go well merryrissmas. That stinks kerbear Happy due date singingsea! Hope you feel better serendipity731. Yay for the great day and getting out mc13! My mom and step dad came over to help me today. It was so nice!

I hope your BP stays down merryrissmas. For what it's worth, you have done an amazing job with this pregnancy. I'm glad that you and your doctors are staying on top of the situation.
Happy due date day singingsea! Are you an OSU fan though? If so, we are unbeknownst bitter enemies.
mc13, yay for the park! Nursing in public took me a long time to feel comfortable with, so covering up is nothing to be worried about. You feed your babies however you feel most comfortable!
