I had a PSL yesterday and did you know you can get them ICED?! ::mind blown::
DS woke up this am with a bone dry diaper (11ish hrs) so I've been corresponding with daycare and ped all morning to make sure he went early this am. WHEW! We didn't need another thing to worry about
Keeping all my fingers crossed for you ladies over your EDD! Come on babies!
Good morning everyone! It's my little's first day of preschool today. I'm excited for her and nervous. Also our air conditioner decided to die....ugh! Especially bc we are expecting a few days in the 90s coming up. Not fun!

Ugh that sucks about the a/c cbowl. S'16 has not had a good summer for major appliances!! I hate that it's supposed to get really hot again this week after being so nice the past few days.
I walked into work to a small chorus of "oh you're here?" this morning. Along with a big sigh of relief from my team. Looks like I'm making it to my due date appointment tomorrow morning after all. Last week the dr mentioned scheduling me for an u/s to take a peek if I made it to my next appointment. Looks like I'll be getting another inside view of the little guy.
My due date was yesterday and no signs of labor yet. I had to close my clients at work for appropriate client care so I'm only working a few hours this week on Wednesday and Friday. So far, I've cleaned the living room and the kitchen. I also set up the pack n play. I'm going for a pedicure later with my mom.
I don't know what I'm going to do with myself all week!

Good morning ladies, I hope everyone has a good day and the babies due this week decide to come on out!
Last night I dreamt I was being prepped for a CS, so I'm hoping that isn't a sign of an impending need for an early delivery. I'm anxious to get the results of the BPP tomorrow & my OB appt on Thursday so we know whether induction is around or corner or whether I can keep going for the time being.
Morning! I feel like a steam roller rolled over me. Everything hurts, my neck, my arms, my stomach. I feel like I'm going to throw up. Didn't sleep worth crap. I think I over did it yesterday trying to get projects done. Today I'm making a huge grocery trip to make round 2 of freezer meals.

Morning all! Not much going on here today. Im considering going to the beach later today, now that everyone is back to work and school. Hehe sucks to be you kids! Sooo don't miss school at all. Other than that I might get started on some new bedding for the bassinet. Maybe... We manged to get rid of another car load of stuff this weekend, so now there is room in the livingroom AND nursery. Score!!
What we started with. This is what happens when you stuff two storage units in one room for two years

My house is a disaster again, but it's for a good reason. I'm still nesting so shit's gotta get dirty before it can get clean. My due date is next week. I can't believe it. I really hope she comes when she's supposed to. I don't want to have to induce. It'll throw a wrench in this whole home birth thing.
I'm getting a haircut this morning, yay! (I only go twice a year at most) husband and toddler may go to the aquarium since I got us a membership last week. She was awful when I tried to take her but she's usually better with daddy. He was going to max out on vacation so he took a four day weekend. Hopefully I'll also have some free time to work on the online class I'm teaching in October. There's a lot of prep because I've never taught this one before.
I'm going to ask what is probably a really dumb question. Do you time contractions when it is MOTN? Last night was the first time contractions woke me up from sleep. My theory was to try and go back to sleep and if I was in true labor, they'd wake me up and get more intense and it would be my cue to time them. I didn't want to waste an hour or two of sleeping on Braxton Hicks.
WWYD? My water broke the first time and contractions didn't start naturally so even though I'm a STM I am clueless on this contraction stuff.

kerbear - I'd probably do the same as you did. Seems like the real deal would be enough to keep me awake or keep waking me up. If I was able to fall and stay asleep I'd probably assume it wasn't anything to worry about.
Granted I'm a FTM so no experience with contractions either.
kerbear I was induced last time so take that with a grain of salt but I would assume that real true contractions would continue to get stronger and keep you awake. So I would probably try to sleep as much as I could and assume that if labor was progressing it would wake me up and to begin to time them at that point.

kerbear sleep is more important. I didn't time until I started to notice a pattern after I had woken up for the day. I wouldn't start getting excited until you're 10:1:1. 10 minutes apart, 1 minute in length, for 1 hour.
ETA: I started timing when I noticed them every 30 minutes. You'll get to a point where they start o feel regular. Until then, rest!

ETF queue to cue. I am smart
If you can sleep through them, there's no need to time them.
Add me to the possible labor train with kerbear. DH and I dtd last night and I've been having contractions all morning. They're still light but pretty regular. I haven't started timing them yet. I just got to my acupuncturist, so if it is today, everything is happening perfectly so far! I really love acupuncture for labor pains and I've been worried I wouldn't be able to get in before having to go to the hospital this time.
Also, the 10:1:1 rule is a good guideline, but everyone is different. You know your body. Mine never got to be a min long last time until I was pushing...

I hope everything is ok with your son kerbear. Also, I'd have done the same thing. I pre-labored all weekend last time, went to l&d triage and they sent me home for no progression. The nurse said, you'll know the difference between active labor contractions. I found out that night that she was right! Active labor contractions will def wake you up.
cbowl I hope your DD has a great first day of preschool! Sorry about the ac troubles, hopefully it's a quick fix.
Also update on DS: He peed at daycare so ped just thinks he was a bit dehydrated. I literally asked them to call me once he peed. (Things you'd never think are important but are when you are a parent) haha
So, my MW called me yesterday because she wanted to see me this am to do a membrane sweep today and another one Thursday at my regular appointment. Apparently, having a few reduces the risk of mediation cal induction. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm only 1cm and cervix is pretty long. She could touch the baby's head though.
I'll probably not have a baby today, but maybe later this week. We'll see.

I just found out that the midwife that delivered both C and E is leaving. I'm so irrationally sad about it. She feels like a sister to me. She's leaving healthcare all together. I'm over the moon happy for her but I'm still so sad... I'm blaming postpartum hormones.
femkerbear. My husband get me the pumpkin pie syrup from torani where he works. He gets them really cheap. Anyways. I love pumpkin spice lattes. This syrup is a really good substitute in my coffee for those expensive Starbucks drinks. You can use it for flavoring in your cooking too.
kerbear last time I went into labor motn. I ended up sleeping through the first part. By the time I woke up with intense pain we jumped up and headed to the er. Five minute dr. We barely made it. There was just time to take Me to maternity and put me in a bed. Lo was born about 30 min after I woke up.
