graybaby, how are you feeling and how is weaning going?
My boobs are on fire. I pumped yesterday for the first time in a week and got 10 ml. They are so lumpy and painful. I'm afraid I'm going to get mastitis. Who's weaned recently? renbee, heartbot? Did your boobs hurt like this for awhile?

I weaned pretty gradually but I remember the last few weeks being kind of a mess. I kept getting lumpy boobs with blocked ducts, milk blisters, and other fun things. I remember saying "will my boobs ever stop hurting?" They did. But it took a bit to go back to normal. Hang in there!
I haven't been around, going to try and catch up if LO will nap. Which I'm sure won't happen since she has only been up since... 515 (she usually gets up at 7)
DD1 had a cold (fever + runny nose) almost 2 weeks ago which we all caught. Now for about 3 days she has been complaining of stomach pains. She won't eat and threw up this morning the little bit of cracker I had convinced her to eat. Trying to get an appointment for her.
DH leaves tomorrow for a week... which is going to suck. It wouldn't be a problem if DD1 weren't sick but I feel like juggling the two of them (especially since LO is waking up 3-4 times a night again) is going to drain me.
@unicornofthesea we also CD. She uses a disposable overnight but she keeps leaking out of them so I might go back to CDing full time. We CD'd FT with DD1.
graybaby that sounds so frustrating. When will you try a different type of formula?
adelbert GL, these coughs & runny noses seem to take forever to get over.
renbee that's awesome! GL with belly sleeping being the answer.
LO was doing really well on her belly but after everyone got sick and I think my supply dipped a bit she's been up a lot again. But the tummy time when she's awake in the MOTN seems to be helping her shoulders and holding her fists open while she's nursing seems to be helping her hands.
abbeyd, you can always call ahead and ask if they want you to reschedule. The gave LO shots with just a stuffy nose last time. They said if she had no fever/hadn't had a fever (she only had the sniffles but never a fever) they would still give her the shots.
Gosh, graybaby. I'm sorry. Poor little guy. DS1's pediatric gastro said that milk and soy allergies/sensitivities frequently go hand in hand. I hope you both feel better and get some rest.
add me to the list with a sick baby. What's sad though is he's generally much happy and easy to handle than the sick husband. Go figure. Last night sucked though. Baby kept waking up coughing and snotty so I gave up around 11 and just took him downstairs and let him sleep on me a little more upright. That was fine until 1 until I get too uncomfortable so I settled him in the pack n play in our room. Figured it would be easier to settle him in their than run up and down the stairs all night long. That worked perfectly until 3 when the toddler had a nightmare. And then baby woke up at 4:30. I'm tired.
Baby has his six month appointment tomorrow. How the hell has half a year already gone by?! Will they do shots if he's got a cold? No fever or anything. I can't remember what the rules are anymore. But now I'm guessing there will be a few more sleepless nights this week. Ugh.
Sorry about your babe's cold I would guess that they wouldn't do shots if he's miserable. How'd he do with the 4 month shots? They tend to do better with each round. Still, I'm sure they would postpone the shots until he's better. His immune system needs a break!

abbeyd I prefer to pick one doctor and stick with them. I find that in our area doctors don't always read the whole file before each appointment so it's nice to have a doc that knows our history. This is coming from someone who's kid has a huge file to read and several meds so maybe it doesn't really matter in most cases. It sounds like either one is a great pick.
abbeyd, can you just schedule with whomever is free when you need to get in? I also like the rotating idea. We go to a practice with 5 doctors and there is only one that I dislike enough to avoid. I like two of them more than the others and try to schedule with them, but will take appts with whichever doctor is available for the day I need. I'm sure most people would not prefer to do it our way. But fortunately, we don't have any significant health issues and when we do have sick visits, we're usually pretty familiar with the doctor.
