One consultant told me that a perfect is meant for women with big boobs and that it makes those of us with small boobs look pregnant
Yes!! I hate when shirts are too loose in the chest. It makes any semblance of boobs I may have completely disappear. But I also carry my extra weight at my waist/hips so I prefer fitted on top and slightly flowy on the bottom. I'm picky about shirts!
I don't feel like it's too loose in the chest but my boobs are bigger than my stomach so maybe that's why.
I'm here reading, just don't feel I have much to contribute. I'm stuck in the perpetually nauseous/hungover phase and am struggling to maintain a facade of normalcy at work and to stay awake when I get home. It's really bringing me down.

mustloveerica yea I'm not a fan of the Perfect T for that reason. It's bell shaped on the bottom so it's just too baggy. The Irma is straight up and down so I'm excited to try it. I also have two Gracie's that I love (kids version of the classic)

The XXS irmas look like giant bags on me :/ it's quite awful. I love the size 14 gracies though
Just tried the doppler on a whim during naptime and immediately found the heartbeat (not typical at 8+5, for the record, I just got lucky)! Of course then I tried to record it on my phone and couldn't find it again, but I'll take it.
Naptime will be over soon and then I have to head to health education in a couple hours with a grouchy baby who is getting over an ear infection so I can fill out a bunch of forms about my (lack of) drug use and schedule the NT scan. After a disaster of a target trip this morning I do not have high hopes for how this is going to go.
Agreed. It's ~$50. Best investment I made last pregnancy. However, it's truly a "know yourself" type of thing. You have to be able to accept that you may not always find the heartbeat but that doesn't mean anything is wrong. If you're someone who will freak if you don't find it, it's not worth it

Absolutely. The other thing I would add is that some people like to use them in later pregnancy for reassurance when the baby gets so big that movement starts to feel more subtle. A heartbeat just means the baby is alive, it doesn't mean the baby is ok. So if after viability you ever have a change in movement patterns that concerns you, go get it checked out even if you find the heartbeat right away. They'll be looking for the baby to move and have appropriate increases and decreases in heart rate, which is what they need to see to know everything is ok.

yes. Never hesitate to call your provider if you are concerned, especially after viability. I ended up in L&D at 34w+ due to lack of fetal movement. Turns out I was having contractions due to being dehydrated which was in turn causing him to not move.
Hiiiii ladies. I'm here too. Meds aren't working as well as I'd hoped so I'm feeling pretty pathetic and having a hard time even pretending to function. My husband has been amazing, taking G off my hands whenever he can so I am very grateful for that, but I think I'm going to go back to the Dr and see if he can prescribe something else. The Diclectin is not working and is making me more drowsy than I already am, on top of the constant nausea/vomiting.
I hear you cayenne and sympkin, I feel like a shit Mom too, there is way too much Daniel Tiger and Cheerios going on in this house, but I'm just trying to remember that this will pass and to go easy on myself.
vasc I hope you feel better soon. This perma hangover is bringing me down too. Fingers crossed the next few weeks bring some relief.
iqeb that's so exciting you found the heartbeat! I'll be bringing mine out around 9 weeks.
onesweetworld LLR isn't very big in Canada, the only place I've ever heard of it is on these boards so I always feel like I'm missing out! And also, I agree with the other ladies, Sonaline B.
hpnegirl sorry they wouldn't give you the Zofran! I didn't even know Zantac helped with nausea. I hope it helps (and if not I hope they give you the real meds)!
I really don't know if I should though! GAH! If I find the HB it would make me feel so much more connected and excited, but if I don't I might have even more anxiety.

I just ordered mine from baby Doppler . Com. I'm sure it won't be here until week 9 so I might be able to find it !

Hey guys! Sorry people are feeling so crappy. First tri sucks.
I'm definitely in the no Doppler camp. I would FTFU if I didn't get a heartbeat and probably carry that thing to work with me. #alittlecrazy
Soooo, if I were to buy one LLR item to start, what should it be? My friend is launching her online store on Friday. I usually don't leave the house in leggings because I'm self-conscious, but I've heard amazing things. halp.
DD is going to bed, I just closet-ate a bunch of watermelon so she wouldn't see me, nearly gagged while brushing my teeth, and am settled on the couch ready for my evening, prime time doze. This is what I've become.

Why is teeth brushing so terrible during pregnancy? I remember it made me gag during my first pregnancy long after the nausea went away.

Classic T. Ask her to find a super soft stretchy one for you - they are the best!
rowe for the tagging award today! I'm always impressed by people who can do that.
Definitely in the hungover stage. Mornings suck and my first class starts at 7:15am. I didn't come out of the funk until sometime into the 3rd class, around 11am. I have a cold to blame symptoms on to coworkers and the kids don't care anyway lol.
Put me in the too much MMC and Sophia club. Thankfully DH has been good about outside time with DD.
Work has been so super hectic and it's only going to get worse. I feel like I'm barely getting on top of my to do lists on my shift and I'm adding more and more to the next shifts. Tomorrow my list is already a page long already.
So tired.
Do not want to cook dinner.
Pizza is acceptable even though we had it last week, right?
