So I convinced MH to be a wizard (hat and bathrobe) and K's going to be a fairy, and I'll be a dragon. i need to just crochet some scales and sew them onto the back of a green hoodie. Paint my nails green and get some or make some wings.
H: are you not supposed to put face paint on babies? Me: idk. Why do you want to paint her? H: for Halloween, just dip her head to toe in yellow and call her a banana.

I didn't want to pay a lot for costumes since we're not doing anything for Halloween this year. It's on a Monday and really, this year is just for pictures. My MIL works at the Disney Store, so I asked her what inexpensive outfits they have. Since they will only really wear them for pics. There were a few options, and DH actually picked the Tinkerbell onesie and a Buzz Lightyear outfit that will be adorable! And with her discount, not too shabby!
Their daycare is having a Halloween carnival on the 18th, so we might put them in the outfits and take them up for that... but we will see. It's from 6-8 and they eat at 6 and we usually eat at 7. Not sure if we will make it. They won't know what's going on, but it's a chance to get them out and to meet some of the other parents.
Omg jewel441 , I love the Rosie the Riveter idea! (Attaching an old picture of my bub from maybe June in what I think of as her Rosie the Riveter outfit haha!)
We got pretty into Stranger Things, and I kind of want to dress the bub as Eleven, MH as the evil doctor, and myself as the demagorgon. Am I too lazy to make that costume though? Maybe. Probably.

We've discussed but haven't made a decision. Leaning toward monkey, because year of the monkey baby, or pumpkin, because that's what I was on my first Halloween

We decided to go as a cop (DH) and a burglar (me) and a bag of money (A in the carrier). We tried to convince C to be another cop, but the toddler cop costume was next to the train engineer costume, so he's a train engineer. But now he wants to be a witch. You can't please this kid.
I wanted a babywearing costume but I got a cupcake costume for cheap at a consignment sale so she'll wear that for her daycare parade. My 7yo is Mal (character from a Disney tv movie/show) and DS will be a power ranger. And because I saw a pink power ranger pajama at target I'm going to wear that and surprise DS. Yup DH will be embarrassed to stand with me but DS will think I'm the coolest mom ever.
As for me and hubs we have a Halloween party with friends... last year we went as ref and basketball player (bump was the ball). This year we'll be ghost busters. H had the costume from the 80s party we we're invite to (if you remember I was going to be the stay puft marshmallow man) and I found a Ghostbusters pj at target and maybe I'll back wear emmy in that when we go trick or treating.
What are you all doing for Halloween costumes? My mother got K some tiny baby fairy wings so I will most likely be doing the least and having her just wear those. MH is not into dressing up and knowing my luck I'll spend all this time making a costume and end up having it destroyed with spit up or poop in 5 seconds.
We changed our costumes. I wanted circus theme but the striped romper I ordered online for LO was too small. We are now doing farm related. LO will be a cow and I will be a scarecrow. DIY costumes.
