Our sleep training attempts have been absolute shit winogirl. We have tried CIO w checks and that gets him more upset. We have tried CIO w no checks and he can go all night. He just moans and wails for hours. I literally have no idea how I'm ever going to get him to stop waking up so much.

yummeecookee, winogirl, have either of you tried something in the crib for your LO to self-soothe with? A lovey or the musical giraffe? Last night E woke me up around 11 for a snack, but about five minutes after I put her down after she was done she started to fuss. I heard her whining/crying and about the time I was going to get out of bed, I heard the sort of creepy musical tones of the giraffe and she instantly quieted and was out.

What is this giraffe? We haven't gotten anything yet since we still cosleep but I might pick something up when we try to train again

So I looked at the giraffe and realized it's similar to the seahorse that we already have. But I did see this that Amazon suggested. He may like the vibrations and all since he is such a snuggler and I have spoiled him w cosleeping.

Soooo...do I just keep posting here now that it's Thursday? proceedwithcaution LOL
So for all of you thinking of having another baby already, just to make your ovaries shut up for a sec, I peed myself today. Ya. Fun times. Thank God I was in Winners and could buy new pants. WTF pregnancy? So that's my day ya'll.
I'm going through frustrations with sleep too. I started cosleeping with him during the four month sleep regression and of course the habit has just gotten worse. He can't sleep without me unless it is a motion nap in the car or stroller. That's fine but I have a second kid and I can't get anything done. I would really love it if he could nap in the crib. I also think if he can nap without me, the transition to daycare in November will go smoother.
I have read about sleep training but I feel so bad to let him cry. I feel bad because I don't know if a baby understands that I'm not abandoning him...I just want him to sleep. It is probably pretty scary for him.
