I'm able to hold down my coffee today, so progress. I'm hoping it's not just a fluke and that it's the Zantac helping. We'll see. I have to solo parent from now through late friday night so I'm really hoping the med combo works. I feel like an old lady when I take my nightly pills now- 1 baby aspirin, 2 folate pills, prenatal, 1 Zantac, 1 b6, and 1 unisom.

I always get to work an hour and a half earlier than everyone else. I like working alone for a while. And our quarterly bonuses (however small they are) are based on overtime. So I'm trying to accumulate as much overtime as I can before babies come.

We don't get overtime or bonuses.... I'm squirreling away as much sick time and vacation time as possible for leave because i suspect I'll be going on leave by week 37 again instead of working until I deliver. Luckily, my personal time resets next month so I can squirrel that away as well. I've currently got over a week of each which will get me close to delivery, I hope...

Same! I'll have about 2 weeks vaca saved up by April if I don't take any more days off between now and then. But I only get 3 paid sick days a year and then 6 weeks of short term disability so that's not much. I'm mostly worried about being put on bed rest. I think I'm going to end up with quite a bit of unpaid time off. Which is why I'm trying to bank my overtime now. Our overtime bonuses are awful tho. I did the math once. It was something like $2 an hour.

That's awful. Also, call your short term disability provider- many (but not all) will cover you being put on bed rest on top of your after delivery disability benefits. We get paid about 20-25% less than our private sector counterparts but the leave benefits help to make up for it
My short term disability is $300/week, so barely enough to cover DS's daycare cost. Sigh. Too bad the statewide parental leave law doesn't go into effect until 2018. Laaammmmeeee.
Also, a PSA to everyone- call your medical insurance company and find out exactly what they will cover and how they will cover it. You may be limited on ultrasounds or have no coverage until you meet your deductible. Find out if your deductible (if you have one) resets before next April because you may be slammed with it for both calendar years.

Hi there! My boss is buying lunch today and I ordered something super spicy. Hopefully that doesn't come back to bite me in the form of heartburn later. Everything else that sounded good was off limits for preggly-types.
At the park bright and early since it's supposed to be 88 later. I know that's not super hot, but I've gotten used to the cool summer we've been having and we don't have any kind of a/c so I'm not excited.

Does the b6 help you? I have the preggly pops with the b6 and I don't know if that makes me feel any less nauseous.

I can only carry over 40 hours of vacation time in January so I'm trying to calculate it out exactly so I will have a week or two paid of my maternity leave. I will use all of my personal time and sick time as well but we cannot roll over more than 80 hours of sick - I won't hit that because I used a lot of in with my emergency appendectomy. I wish our company offered paid maternity leave.

I'm not sure. They helped last time until I got zofran. Sometimes they help, other times it's doubtful

Paid leave would be nice. I'm glad they passed that law but it sucks it won't go into effect until 2018. Sigh
Yeah... You don't want to know how much we're allowed to roll over here. It's absurd. The only thing that doesn't roll is personal time and floating holidays

Went on my first site visit since finding out I was pregnant. Was on my feet for about 5 hours. Now I'm back at the office and I'm so so sooo exhausted. I'm definitely going to take a nap after work.

I hate how backwards this country is re: parental leave. 😢 I got 18 weeks paid at my last job and 0 here. I do think I can take up to 6 months unpaid and keep my job (per our union contract). But it's going to be tough.
ThankfulSnail mostly the too casual vs formal thing. I've got a pretty decent idea of appropriateness.
It's at an offsite restaurant.
Hmmm. Do you have any in-between dresses? I'd probably do my LLR Amelia dress with flats for an event like that. Not too dressy but still really pulled together.
