I'm so frustrated with feeding this kid. Why does he refuse the bottle when he's starving? If I offer before he is truly hungry he won't even put it in his mouth, if I'm a minute too late he is too hungry to eat properly, he gulps and starts screaming. I'm so angry at my body, all I want to do when he gets like that is put him on my boob. F'n Cancer, I hate you.
Putting him on your boob may not be any better. Ridley lately has been doing the same thing and I BF. If I'm even a little too late she just screams and screams and refuses to eat at all. This afternoon h had to rock her to sleep and then she would eat in her sleep. Next nap I was about 15 minutes later than normal and she cried but eventually accepted it without having to be asleep first. I'm really hoping, for both our sakes, that this doesn't last long! I'm sorry it's making your angry at your body, though.

You're right, he would probably do the same. I'm just comparing my breastfed ds1 who would eat anytime, anywhere to my bottle fed lo who is so so hard to feed some days. Here's hoping he eats better than ds1 as a toddler though because THAT is a nightmare(albeit getting better).
Ridley has been asleep, alone, in bed for like an hour now. So excited she's sleeping on her own! Usually she wakes up like 5-10 minutes after I leave her. I had to pee, though, so I risked it. I think this is going to be her long nap, though. So maybe I just got lucky. Though if this is her long nap that doesn't bode well for an early night.

Fx for an early/good night.
DS is currently rubbing his face in my chest repeatedly he's been doing this a lot lately. It's like he nuzzling me. It's sort of cute but gets annoying after awhile. Just go to sleep or get at least a little drowsy so I can try a drowsy but awake transition.
I'm glad my unschooling summary made sense. That's the idea of it though, it can look different for different families and I'm sure some families approach it more loosely like the articles you read. My description is surely a more hands on brand of unschooling. It is possible to just live & let the learning take place in its own. That's the reason it's not for me. I can't pass up a teachable moment. My wheels are always turning and analyzing. It would be lovely to be so free spirited, but I live in a world of planning and organization and goal setting. Who is to say that's better or worse? It just is what it is. I have all kinds of philosophical questions about this. Love learning about this stuff.
teraiin my prediction is he will be out like a light in no time. Baby I does the same thing. He turns his head back and forth and back and forth like he's rubbing his eyes on the blanket or like he just can't get comfy haha. Lately he's been getting mad he can't take his thumb with him when he turns his head (he's on his stomach so he can't take his thumb haha).

Yes that's it exactly. It's like he's rubbing his eyes haha. He doesn't use the pacifier super often anymore but he gets frustrated when he's rubbing his face because the pacifier usually gets yanked out haha

Big hugs. I can't imagine how frustrating that is.

I have no idea what we will do for school yet... Dh teaches at a private Christian school and Ry could go for free if we stay here but we are most likely moving next summer so it really just depends on where we move and how PS are in the area and if Dh will be teaching somewhere again.
After sleeping 4.5 hours straight this afternoon and completely missing my afternoon pump, I'm feeling a lot better. I'm still really tired though. Pumping now and not getting much. I guess it shouldn't surprise me. I didn't eat/ drink much today. As far as schools go, PS in our area are decent. We also both work at catholic schools so that's an option as well. Both of our schools are a stewardship based model, meaning if you're a registered, tithing parishioner at the parish you don't pay tuition. Only school fees which are <$500 for the entire school year. I wish daycare was included though! 😜

So two members in my small discussion never ended up posting, but the three of us that did worked with what we had and got it done. And then on Wednesday's collaborate lecture the professor called out my post as being exactly what she wanted and suggested others use it as a template. Not awkward or anything.
