Im planning on heading to the hospital early today. I was gonna go do some shopping before hand but think I may pass now got going later than I planned today. I hoping to go to the renaissance festival this weekend. Cuz yes I am a nerd like that.
I want to go to Ren fest here soon too.
What state are you in? You said a few things a few times that make me think we aren't far from each other. We have one of the greatest Ren Fests in the country.

Yay for a good scan LadyNymeria! It looks like he's got some cute little cheeks goin on too. And it's always reassuring when they reconfirm the sex lol
cbrandt1 I wish you so much diarrhea over the weekend 😜 3cm is great!
Oh no, fem! I hope nobody else gets it or it was just a fluke and maybe something she ate!
I had my 38 wk appt today. I was expecting a cervical check so I blindly trimmed my bush with scissors this morning. Am I the only one that's self conscious about that? The doc had an emergency and wasn't in so we skipped that and they checked him on the ultrasound. I love that there's a tech on staff bc they always peek at baby when the doc can't be there.
I picked up my breast pump from ins yesterday. I already have a pisa so I got a spectra this time. Just curious, which do you prefer and why? Now that I have two pumps I will leave one at home and one at work. That will save me from those awful days I forget to bring it. I don't exclusively pump but since I work full time I pump a lot and nurse at night and when together.
As far as trimming goes, last time I was super self-conscious about being waxed. I actually got waxed the day before so it was perfect. This time, I'm shaving. I shaved a couple days ago and won't do it again until he's here. I don't want it to be itchy from growing in and be in pain from pushing out a child. So I'll take a little growth!
Oh man props to you ladies taking care of business down there. I really am just letting it all go at this point...I'm lazy and don't care. Plus I hate the re-growth phase so I figure now is the time to not even worry about it.
Doing okay over here - hosting some friends and their kids tonight. Tired...why did I think hosting a bbq was a good idea again?
Shoot I haven't even been shaving my legs. It hurts too much. I did struggle through trimming my toe nails yesterday though because they were getting out of control and I was too embarrassed to go to a pedicure. My feet are narly at the end of pregnancy.

This exactly. My reasoning is that they have to have seen worse... And idgaf.

eboyd83, I also got a spectra this time. I haven't tried it yet but read really good things about it. The lactation consultant at the hospital was happy when I told her that was the one I got this time and she had positive things to say about it as well. I bought an adaptor thing for like $10 on Amazon that will allow me to use all my existing medela parts with the spectra and I plan to take the spectra to work and leave the medela at home for just-in-case.

Same plan here. I need to get the adapter because we have a but load of Madela bottles. Last time I ended having trouble getting much from Madela even with new flanges, shields, tubing, and membranes.

LadyNymeria and cbrandt1, I have no clue how y'all are shaving. It's hard enough for me to shave my legs let alone down there. I think I have short arms though, so that def makes it harder.

It's all by feel. I can't see anything. Shaving my legs is damn near impossible.

I had a pisa with #1 but I actually preferred to use a hand pump. I've heard great things about the Spectra and pj's comfort bliss but I don't think my insurance would cover either. I think the hygeia is available which some people seem to like but I already have so many medela parts.

I had a Spectra S2 with DD1 and exclusively pumped. It was great! It's so quiet and the little light on it makes MOTN pumping easier. Plus, it's a closed system (Pisa is not and should not be reused by anyone but you) so it can be reused by another person when you're done if you want to give it away or sell it. My SIL also EP'ed with her first and switched from the Pisa to the Spectra a few months in and was so happy. She said it was so much more efficient and quieter than the Pisa.
