I agree 1000 percent babycaps. Seriously. I didn't have much of a stash when I went back but I was lucky to pump more than enough until 6 months (thankfully because I switched pumps. I didn't pump enough with the pisa) and then it started dropping. It only took a few months of supplementing for the freezer stash to run out.

So I'm still nursing DS but have currently run into a few issues and am curious what you ladies think about them.
1. DS is waking again at night to nurse multiple times after STTN for 3 months, how can I fix this?
2. He is also picking at a mole that I have on my R boob to the point where it hurts and I think he's actually going to rip it off. Any suggestions other than always wearing a bandaid on it? He won't play with my nursing/teething necklace or anything else I hand him, he's obsessed with this mole.
3. I'm no longer allowed to pump at work (time constraints) any suggestions for helping to keep my supply up so he's satisfied? Plus I would like to night nurse a little longer than a year.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you ladies share! I'm glad that I made the switch and came over here.

bennieangel they can't tell me that I can't pump but since I'm an early childhood teacher they took away my extra classroom support at the time I would normally pump. I can't leave my aide with 20 crazy 4 and 5 year olds for 15-20 minutes while I pump, that's not fair to her.

I actually don't think there is anything wrong with leaving your aide with your class for 15-20 min. Surely she can handle them on her own for that amount of time. If not, what is she doing there?

@babylentilbean ~ actually the impression I've been given from my supervisor is that she can't be left alone because we have to follow child care ratios which are 10kids to 1 adult here. The only reason we can "break" that is to take a child to the bathroom, run to the bathroom ourselves, or to quickly grab supplies.
I've come to really hate my job this year and can only hope to find a new job next year.
lakecountrygal, they still have to accommodate your pumping needs. By law, they have to provide you with a place and time. So it's on them to cover your time away from the classroom.
@babylentilbean, I'm going to say it. I want to do it from the computer though, and need to be armed and ready for AG who's surely going to come back with some smarts and snarks.
lakecountrygal I'm with babycaps, it's on them to provide this for you. I wouldn't let my supply tank bc they aren't doing what they are suppose to do.
babycaps let us know if you need reinforcements, lol!
