Jacqueline is a really nice name that is underused in my opinion. Would you consider it as a first?
Carlene is pretty terrible. I say that not to flame but to warn. Don't saddle your daughter with Carlene, especially since you gave your first a pretty name.
I am not a fan of Carly at all but it's a common name for kids and nobody will side eye it. So I vote just Carly or Jaqueline Carla and you can still call her Carly Jack at home.
Ooooo, no. Carly Jack is so upsetting as a nn. It screams, "My child WILL be strong and spunky despite being female!" which is upsetting on so many levels. Carlene, while a real name, is just so bad. I disagree with pps inasmuch as I think Carly and Carlene are equally bad. Jacqueline isn't my favorite, but it's a perfectly good name.

Jacqueline and Carly are too common to me to use as first names. I basically prefer names outside of the top 1000 whereas DH likes names in the top 10. Which is how we end up with our kid (s) having nicknames. I call dd by her full name and DH calls her Em and she sometimes gets Emma at daycares.

I dislike Carlene. What about Carla instead? Not that I love Carla, but it's better than Carlene and less common than Carly. Although, if you plan on calling her Carly I don't think it matters that it's not her legal name in terms of popularity.

cabbagecabbage I probably wouldn't call her Carly. It's more for DH. I would call her by her full name. I don't mind more common nicknames but I'd never use it for their given name.
DH makes this hard.
I like your list. Susannah is one of my top picks. DH isn't sold on it
I don't know if these are below the top 1000, but they are good and uncommon in the US: Ariadne Artemisia Beatrix Cosima Carys Cressida Demelza Demetra Dafna Danae Freya Ginevra Iona Lyra Leto Myrrhine Magdalena Octavia Persephone Raphaela Raphaelle Sabina Sabela Valentina

Susannah is cute, I hope you can convince him! I feel your pain—H loves all the super popular names and it's driving me insane. I did sell him on Freya, though.
