E will only sleep for 2 hours at a time... unless I put him in the damn RNP (which I vowed I wouldn't use for night sleep). I got a 4 hour stretch and a 3.5 hour stretch last night! It was much needed for both of us!
I got almost 4 hours of sleep at one time last night! Of course that was followed by E waking every 30 minutes for 2 hours but it was still nice.
We go for our last weight check today. After the marathon nursing we've been doing this week for what I assume was a growth spurt, she had better be well above birth weight now.
Last night was our first night home from the hospital. I ended up having to sleep sitting up in a chair because my incision hurts too much when I climb in and out of bed or the couch. We're also having all the opposite problems nursing than I had with DS1. I was constantly having to pump to up my supply with DS1 and this time I feel like DS2 is completely drowning. He spits up so badly and is so quiet that H and I aren't really comfortable just laying him down to sleep. I hope we can figure something out to make him spit up less so everyone can rest a little.

I did so many things I swore I would never do. You do what you gotta do to survive at the beginning!
I don't think LO gave me more than a 45m consecutive stretch last night. I think she's hungry still after nursing. I'm looking forward to my LC appt at 2 just to get a plan in place. (I'm probably going to cry at the appt, who am I kidding?)
I'm not due for another week as well. My cervical check (ouch!) yesterday wasn't promising of anything either. In good with it, I'm not too uncomfortable! Just enjoying alone time with DS
Today is the most popular date for a bday and it's a full moon! I hope it means good things cbrandt1. danielle, I'm sorry you're in pain.
R didn't want to sleep until 1am last night. I was exhausted since I had only slept 1.5hrs the night before. Today we're laying low trying to establish breastfeeding in hope my milk comes by tomorrow.

Good morning! I'm spending today with my oldest and I'm really looking forward to it I'm taking him to lunch at steak n' shake and then we're going to magic mountain. I miss one on one time with him.
Tomorrow H and I are going out to dinner for my birthday (my birthday is Monday). It will be the first time leaving both boys. Just for a couple hours. My parents are watching them. It will be nice to enjoy a grown up meal and grown up conversations. Just kidding we'll probably talk about the kids the whole time that's what always happens lol!

Ugh, we are back at birth weight (barely) but only gained about 1.5 oz in a week so the nurse was concerned about her gaining. She mentioned supplementing or pumping so I'm feeling like a failure this time around. I had no issues at all with DS :-(. I am going to a breastfeeding group Monday where we will do weighted feeds so can see if there is any progress and back to the ped in 2 weeks. I thought we were going to blow past birth weight based on our marathon nursing this week..

*hugs* kerbear and jennybeans for the nursing woes. There is nothing wrong with supplementing, as long as baby is fed. I fully anticipate having to do the same since I did last time around. Easier said than done, but don't beat yourself up for something that's out of your control. Good luck at your appt and meeting ladies!
Sorry for the pain danielle. I hope you figure something for A, that's so nerve-wracking. Do you have a rnp?

serendipity731 we do have a RnP, but it kind of swallows him. Like I'm worried the sides are going to suffocate him. I may try the swing tonight without actually having it swing.

This is how hard I'm working today - the' Reverse Due Date Calculator to Calculate Conception Dates' tells me conception would be Dec. 24th. Too much eggnog around Christmas!

Pretty much. August and September are the most popular birthday months.

I'm glad you got some shut eye! if it makes you feel better the baby is sleeping in his swing and I've been crashing on the couch. BUT I've been getting sleep so you gotta do what you've got to do

Ah gotcha. Swing sounds like a good idea. I remember with DS1, DH and I took turns staring at him when he slept that first week lol
I'm still 8 days from EDD and I don't feel even close to labor. The toddler was really testing my patience yesterday, alternating tantrums and giggles. At least she took a decent nap. I dragged her out to the bank to cash in my first disability payment but the card was declined despite having money in it for no apparent reason. Hope it works today.
