hpnegirl yea we're screwed (in the most blessed way) lol if this baby is a boy. All of DD's clothes are sooo girly.
I got a lot of clothes at my baby shower and they were all NMS. They all ended up being donated with tags since they were mostly from boutiques where the relatives lived--like, we got a baby Elvis jump suit FFS. I actually hate giving or getting clothes because you don't know what the mom or kid (if older) will actually like and use. If it wasn't onesies or pants, it got donated or returned. I actually got a onesie with a zodiac sign on it. Turns out, he was born on the last day for that sign or I'd have donated it as well. I'm really picky on clothes, especially for my kid...
I really need my ILs to end their trip now... Whenever they visit, DH and I get into arguments about it and are now arguing over their next visit (as to, when it would be) because my MiL throws a fit if we can't give her definite dates before they leave from their current visit
Yesterday was DS's last day at his sports group. MIL complained about not seeing us a lot since I've gone back to work full time so I stupidly invited her along to watch him play his last game of Tball and get his certificate.
The entire time she complained that the coaches were riding DS too hard (no he was being a little asshole and not paying attention) or how the other kids got more turns to bat (nope, just DS being himself and letting other kids cut in front of him) or how the coaches have no idea what they are doing because they shouldn't let the kids run with balls on the floor (WTF, I can't even).
Then she said that I'm losing too much weight and people will think I'm Anorexic ... I'm still a big girl FFS.
Oh and that my house is probably a mess since I'm working so much "and can't focus on my wifely duties".

lilmonk for fuck sake!! How often are you required to hang out with said MIL?! I hope it's not often. She sounds like a real peach.
Not very often lately. Used to be a couple of times a week as she was our main Childcare until spots opened up for DS and I think she's feeling the separation. But she wonders why we don't call or go over when she's full of little quips like that.
She comes to my house and rearranges things how she likes because "it just makes more sense." Or she will go through the house and collect laundry because "obviously I don't have time to work and clean". Or my favourite was when she said the reason we haven't had more kids was because I'm "too focused on my career and I don't like kids" ya know. Nothing to do with PCOS or my hormonal issues or thyroid issues or anything health related.

Hello ladies. I'm moving slow today. We went to the Indians game yesterday and they went into extra innings. But they won so getting to bed late still paid off.

My poor dog got cactus needles in her butt last night on that hike. I came out the bedroom and my DH was laying on top her in the floor and I was like wtf are ya'll doing?! Lol

mustloveerica I just know my cats are going to love the baby's crib. I need to figure out how to keep them out.
We ended up getting the cheap like $20 screen door from Home Depot and installing on the nursery. Kept the dog & cat out without looking atrocious and impeding our hearing of dd.

I am thinking that the crib will go in our room for now because I know I won't be doing stairs to get my infant. I could probably get some kind of bug net to cover the opening so they don't just hang out in the crib when the baby isn't it. I'm not so worried that they will go in the crib when the baby is in it. If they do, they will be locked out of our room at night.
