I was home yesterday with A plus her brother, who is apparently an untamed wild animal. Or a 2 year old. Hard to tell the difference some times. Needless to say, I am happy to be at work today.
We all slept ok last night but I am exhausted for some reason. I'm chugging coffee right now to try to get motivated to get the big kid ready for school. Today will consist of some errands, and "studying" for a job interview I have on Thursday.

Watching Today and munching on toast while A nurses. There needs to be some kind of crumb catcher for babies. I'm constantly dusting crumbs off his head.
I'll let him take his morning nap on me and then lunch. Afternoon will be home too, but after H is done working, we have to go pick up my sister's car from the shop since she's away at college and my parents are in Europe. Maybe we'll get some chow out and about.

I have to do some more cleaning and make my breakfast so S is going to be taking his first nap in the mei tai.
I have been trying to get a bedtime routine down for S and so far it's been failing miserably. Usually he ends up too tired and starts screaming so I have to rush through it.

Snuggling E & chugging coffee. I'm in a stage where I need to put him down & get shit done but I also know my maternity leave is coming to an end & I want to snuggle him every second of every day. I'm having a lot of anxiety of going back to work.

We're just relaxing after getting DS to school. Both girls woke up a tad on the warmer side and J had a rough night. I'm hoping it doesn't turn into anything because DD1 has her first dance class tomorrow and she's so excited.
I'm sorry. My DD had it when the baby was just a couple weeks old. It was scary but ended up being fine. I know how scary it feels to have a tiny baby when it hits your house.

This is totally me. I just want to cuddle him close because I know I will be away at work soon.
melody330 ugh, I am so sorry. I hope it's a mild case and no one else catches it.
I'm on the couch watching Shameless with a sweet sleeping baby on me. I've gone to work the past couple days but just could not today. My ass is staying glued to the couch all day.

I still have 4 weeks of leave but all I can think about is it ending and having to go back to work. I work from home so I'll still get to see Sam all day, but it won't be the same and that makes me really sad.

HFM question. Is this something you get once and you're done? Or can you get it multiple times? There was a big outbreak with DS1's friends last year, and he was one of the only ones who didn't get it. I was thinking bc he already had it.

you can only get a specific strain of the virus once and then you develop immunity. Unfortunately there are multiple strains.

I'm afraid to say it out loud but the "fever" never got over 99.1, which I know isn't technically a fever. He's eating fine, took a great nap...so maybe I jumped the gun? ::knocks on all the wood::

My child fits in 6 month onesies. Luckily the 3 month still work. Wasnt he a tiny peanut last month? I may have miscalculated in my baby clothes buying and go through everything this winter at this rate. But I still bought him a cute shawl collar old man sweater today. I always justify that boy clothes are so ugly that when I actually like something, I'm allowed to spend the money. So basically I blow money on cute fox clothes and sweaters.
