Hahaha! Yes it is Thursday
So I think I screwed up last night. E woke up around 2:30ish. No crying. Just chatter. I went in to feed her. She didn't eat much, so I put her down to sleep, she whined as long as it took me to walk back to my room. Then she babbled for awhile, so I turned off the monitor and went to sleep. I think I need to be better about only going in when she's crying. I'm hoping she's starting to wean herself off of MOTN feeds. I need to be better about letting her, I'm just so used to MOTN feeding at this point. *fingers crossed*

Yeah I kind of just cut out MOTN feedings and have taken to watching the monitor if she does whimper in the night. She usually puts herself back to sleep if I don't disturb her.

I only go in for crying. Once he gets to crying, he needs assistance getting back to sleep. He rolls around a lot, and has a habit of banging into the top half of the crib, but usually sleeps through it.
Its my Friday at work...thank goodness. No big plans this weekend...just trying to make it through today..LOL
I'm trying to make the final decision on childcare for my children. We found a day home close to our house and it is nice and affordable. However, we will likely move to a different neighbourhood within 3-4 months of me returning to work. So we were thinking a nanny might be a better fit. It is quite a bit more money and it is also trusting a stranger unsupervised in our house with our kids. We interviewed a few and they seem good though and I like the idea of not bundling the kids up every morning. We would probably start him in a daycare in August or September and my daughter would be starting kindergarten at that time.
So yeah I have to choose between the cost or the stress of scrambling for a new place when we move and also the stress it might be on the baby who has never been away from me before.

We had our home inspection today so I'm hoping there's nothing we need to complete or anything that will turn the buyers away. Just one more step in the right direction. They were here for nearly 3 hours though. Not the most convenient with 2 large dogs and a baby. She was well over nap time and is still sleeping, poor bugger.

kensie5226 -- this is why i leave the monitor downstairs hehe. if i had it upstairs and heard every noise K made I'd never get any sleep. I give him 5 minutes before I go in to feed him. I figure if he goes back to sleep within 5 minutes, he wasnt' hungry just looking for a paci or something (we have like 3 in his crib). If he's still making noise or gets progressively louder to the point of actual crying, I go in to either feed him or find his paci and lay him back down. So far it kinda works? hehe
samelly - is the neighborhood you'd be moving to still relatively close in proximity? It might be more of a drive once you do move but if it's not too out of the way maybe that's an option for the in-home daycare? but if you're gonna move him to a daycare regardless, then maybe a nanny would be better?

We have a nanny, and while it isn't full time because of how our schedules work out, it is still more than a local day care, but I love it. She is great with DD, there is no drop off, pick up. I was worried at first and bought some nanny Cams, I rarely peak on them anymore, but it was comforting at first.

My kids both fell asleep before their bed times. WHAT!?! I was enjoying quiet time at 7:15. This is too good to be true. Who is going to wake me at 1am?
