I have to submit my formal resignation to my old job today, and have a conversation with my previous supervisor about tying up loose ends. I'm not leaving under great circumstances, so I'm kind of dreading this. I also have to make some phone calls to our FSA company and the hospital about bills related to E's birth. Fun stuff here. 😕
Dropped DD1 at preschool, already did my grocery shopping, and DH put away the dishes before heading to work (that never happens!) Now I'm enjoying a sleeping baby on my chest while watching HGTV and catching up on the internet.

I am so happy it's Monday, the IL's are gone and we can all get back to normal. Apparently H had to practically kick all of them out of the house after I went to put S to bed in our room. He says he basically had to tell them to get out so he and L could start getting ready for bed but even then they were reluctant to leave.
Monday confession: I put S down at 7:30 pm and heard that they were still there through the bedroom door. I chose to go take a bath and left H to the task of kicking them out and putting L to bed.
S is currently sleeping on my chest while I watch TV.

I just went through A's clothes and put his too small stuff in storage. He's officially in 3-6 tops and 6-9 bottoms. Looks like he's inherited my bubble butt.
I finally got control of my PP acne, somewhat. Aveeno Clear Complexion face pads and argan oil FTW. Now seeing my eyebrows are beyond bushy so I'm going to see if H minds that I run to get them threaded after he is done with work.

Raining here. We were supposed to go to an outdoor playgroup but we went to an indoor one instead.
The teacher in me was cringing inside when DS1 wouldn't sit for circle time. He did maybe two action songs and then spent the rest of it running around the room. I was tied up with L and couldn't do much about it, so I just let him run. Should I be worried that my 2.5 year old won't sit for circle time?

My kid was like the designated hellion of library story time. We went from age 1.5-3 and I was horrified that every other kid seemed to sit quietly on their parent/nanny's lap and I was repeatedly dragging mine back to the carpet. She started preschool at 3 years 2 months and they shaped her up! Don't worry about it

Absolutely not, especially if circle time is longer than 10mins.
In Kinder we start then out at 4mins and work our way up to 20max but that's still a coupon ears away

Thanks katelou and Ray! They do circle time at daycare and haven't said anything about his behaviour, so I thought all was good. Then today I saw him in action! I think I'm being harder on him because I teach.
ETA just found him passed out on the couch. Wonder if he was just exhausted!
After two attempts at putting J down for a nap only for her to wake up 5 minutes later screaming I am now holding her while she sleeps and catching up on Grey's. Of course I have I ton to do but cranky baby needs a good nap and she's not digging the carrier today.
katelou I hate it when they nurse all funny! They go through so many weird stages.
What sucks is I pulled my left shoulder muscle. Worst of all it was from just using the pump on the conditioner bottle. Second time I have pulled it this month. :/

We've had a couple of rough nights in a row and I'm tired. DD was enthusiastic about going on a hike so I managed to get us all dressed, packed up and out of the house. Of course the whole hike she was asking where we were going and where the playground was. DS slept in the Tula the whole time again, which is a nice break and getting out is good for my sanity. At home he's napping 20 minutes, then fussing and screaming. So exhausting. He takes his wonderweek shenanigans seriously. Hoping this passes quickly because things were getting pretty good there for a bit.

Today is family day because DH is off. He and DD worked outside replacing torn screens and she watched him take out the window ac. It's so sweet to see her be a helper.
DS is nursing constantly and not really napping. What the fresh hell is this?
I did manage to buy supplies to make DD's glinda costume and DS's flying monkey hat.
Now I'm sitting on my glider while he sorta naps with all the windows open. It's the most gorgeous crisp, warm, breezy autumn day.

It's 100 degrees here. WTF? Did a stroller workout this morning, followed by the playground, and then swimming lessons. We got home for nap time, and DS1 wanted me to read 5 books. I said only 3 because we were way late for nap time. So instead he said zero and bye. See you after my nap. I'll take that as a win, esp since E is napping in his carseat. I'm watching tv and trying not to melt in this heat.
littlesthobo , kids are always on their worst behavior around their parents. I went into my son's preschool the other week bc it was his birthday, and during circle time, those teachers had every kid (2-3 year olds) sitting in a circle. Preschool teachers work wonders!
My MIL is getting on my nerves. Sam will go and let out little cries and she'll say "oh that's not even real!" Like the ten week old baby is faking cries for attention or something. And then she walks around patting him on the back and acts all surprised when he lets out a burp and thinks that's why he was crying. If you pat a baby on the back long enough you're bound to get a burp out of him.

OMG, I swear gramnesia is a thing. Grandmas that don't remember how babies be babying. Like my MIL who claims "none of her kids cried like A does, as in never cried EVER. Have you taken him to the pedi? Maybe he has ADHD." WTAF, he's a BABY!! He cries sometimes!
My SIL just went and posted a ton of photos from the past few days, and I'm not in a single one of them. Lots of Sam, H is in a few, all the IL's, none of me. I feel like it's probably dumb and I'm just angry that I haven't been able to hold my baby and am ready to go home, but I'm a little upset about it. Idk, maybe because I played a huge part in bringing that baby into the family, and it looks like I don't even exist.

My MIL from California did this. The one picture that she was forced to take of us has my hand in W's face. Of course no picture of me on Facebook.
