fem - That is so nice of her and awesome that it matches your nursery. It must have given her some joy to make it for you, otherwise I imagine she wouldn't have done it.

I hope so. I feel awkward and am always second guessing what I'm saying to her. It was such a sweet gesture.
fem that was really sweet of her. For a lot of people, doing nice things for others helps them cope with loss. Hopefully making that for you helped her feel better.
I went grocery shopping without taking K with me. It felt weird to be out of the house without her, though it was a heck of a lot faster to grocery shop.
Can someone talk to me about umbilical stumps? DH and I noticed some blood around DD's stump earlier this afternoon. Called the pediatrician and they said if the blood increased to call back. We just noticed blood on the inside of her onesie but no larger than a dime and it has been several hours. No pus, no odor. I'm freaking out. Anyone else deal with something similar?
Me: 28, all tests normal DH: 34, very low count, motility, morphology DX - MFI 11/14/09 - Married 01/01/14 - TTC #1 01/06/15 - Started working with RE 04/06/15 - Recommendation - straight to IVF w/ICSI 09/04/15 - Started working with new RE Nov/Dec 15 - IVF w/ ICSI #1 - 11R/8F - 1 transferred, 3 frozen
Sorry about the weight fluctuations, LadyNymeria . Hopefully it's just a blip, and he'll keep gaining!
Bummer about the contractions keeping you up fem - I had the same thing a week ago and was sure baby was going to come right on my EDD. Well, here I am at 40+6 and still PG. I'm pretty sure the false alarm was the result of some adult activity last week, so I've told DH that if baby doesn't show by this weekend, I'm going to insist we try more sex to get things moving. Also, whoever had that labor-inducing gelato, can you please send some my way?
It was me! It was a chocolate, chili and cinnamon gelato. It was in a local shop though 😞 Maybe adding chili and cinnamon to chocolate ice cream would work, lol.
Starbucks has a chili mocha coffee (might be a frap?) right now. You could add some cinnamon and you're golden!

Google told me some light bleeding was ok. If you notice actual drops of blood or active bleeding then that's something to get checked out, but some spots on the onsie or dried blood seem ok. It can be more common if the stump rubbed off from friction against clothes, etc maybe before it was fully dried out.
R has had the same thing happening but it's never been active bleeding, and is going away so it doesn't seem to be anything to worry about.

Thank you! It looks like the edge caught on the pj's we put her in and pulled off a little so this makes me feel better.

Also, flyakite, we haven't had to use gripe water for this LO yet, but it was a godsend for DS1. I just had MH pick some up today to have on hand. We use the Mommy's Bliss brand.
