Do you already have something picked out? Anyone doing whole matching family costumes? Bonus points for pics.
I don't have anything yet but I definitely want to get something for my LO. I'm not usually that into Halloween but the baby costumes are so stinking cute!

When DS was a baby we did not trick or treat with him, just dressed him up and took pictures and handed out candy. DS will be trick or treating so DD will be along for the ride but I won't collect candy for her. There are people who come to my house with infants and trick or treat for them. It's.....odd....

This exactly.
Or sometimes the library or other place will have a costume activity for kids, too.
We haven't done much more Halloween with dd1 yet. Her first one she was going to bed at 5:45 and sleeping like crap, so we didn't even hand out candy because I didn't want her to wake up! Last year she was sick, so we carved pumpkins, stayed in, and H and I handed out candy after she went to bed.
Not sure what this year will bring. So far dd1 says she doesn't want a costume and doesn't want to trick or treat. I keep trying to pump her up about it, but she's not into it. I asked her if she would come trick or treating with us if dd2 wanted to go and she said "Dd2 go trick or treat with mommy. Dd1 stay home with daddy." So Halloween might be a bust for us this year, too.
She is starting a toddler group at preschool on Monday, though, and we will have class on Halloween. If they are doing a costume thing hopefully she'll get into it!
I'm being (sort of) cheap this year. So is choosing between costumes that he already has, either Spider-Man or Captain America. I think M is going to be a Cabbage Patch Kid. She has the cheeks for it, and I'm going to make her a hat with yarn hair, I *might* make a box to go around the stroller, but it depends on my energy/creativity levels in the next couple of weeks.
We'll be going trick or treating, but probably only because of S. When he was a baby we dressed him up and walked over to my friend's house to show him off. If it was just M we'd probably just go to my mom's or something

I picked up a carters costume (at Costco - half the price!) a few weeks ago. DD is going to be a flamingo. My doggy is going to be a clown or a bee. H is going to take the two around to a few neighbours to say hello but not really looking for candy. Just showing the gang off I will be shelling out

We are trying to come up with the characters from Goodnight Gorilla. So far I have a monkey. Dd3 is going to be either a mouse or an elephant and dd1 wants to be a giraffe. It's really hard to find a less than $20 giraffe. Our dog will be the lion

J is just wearing an outfit that says "Mommy's Little Monster":
He does have this hat, but I somewhat doubt his dedication to keeping it on his head. We are taking him to a Halloween village and train ride thing with my parents and my sister and 3 year old niece. I think he will like the train ride. For Halloween we are just going to go visit grandparents and aunts/uncles.
scorpioscuba I'm so jealous that you live where it's warm enough for that on Halloween. We will definitely have snow before the end of October this year. We do most years, but apparently this winter is supposed to be longer and colder than usual.
DD is going to Ariel and DS is going as Sebastian.
I got this skirt for DD (in green) and a satin top in this style (in pink...the only way she agreed to wear it bc "I looooove pink mommy!") and I'll make her a shell headpiece or necklace or something.
And this is technically a lobster costume but I think it'll work.
So we were going to do a shark and a pumpkin - but now DS is saying he doesn't want to be a shark - he wants to be a ghost. So I may just cut a hole in an old pillowcase for him ... and here is a sneak preview of our little pumpkin ...
