Agreed with gifts are for the kids. Luckily I guess I have no blood siblings and my DH isn't gift-giving close with his brother so it's a non-issue. We'll probably get my God-son a gift and last year his mom and I decided it would be neat to start exchanging ornaments each year. I might ask my two girlfriends if they'd like to do a small gift or bake exchange (they are military wives too so no family in the province).
Other than this, just gifts for the local grandparents and great grandparents, and we'll probably mail DHs grandparents some nice photos.

We do secret Santa for siblings and spouses, 1 gift for each kid (because I have like 6 nieces and nephews), and then I do homemade for the grandparents. I think my MIL's fave was a framed picture that I used scrapbook paper and traced each kids' hand and layered them. Like this but with patterned paper that matched her style.
Nope, my MIL is this way. If her children don't spend enough money on her she gets pissed. All the adults in the family make wish lists for themselves. It's so strange to me. I feel like once you all have children, you stop by gifts for all the adults too. Unpopular with H's family.
This is ridiculous. Both sides of our family do Secret Santa for all of the adults. You buy your 1 present and you're done. Simple. No one is wasting money on crap.
We do secret Santa on my side of the family, and it's great! $50 limit plus a cheap gag gift. Easy!
Oooh I just found another idea on Pinterest too for my dad. You et a little tackle box and then fill it with gummy worms and sour fishies and other candies. Perfect because he loves fishing so he'll use the box and he also loves eating lol

That's so cute! Would make a good Father's Day present too! Or a small one for DS1!
