So I think I may have thrush. Anyone deal with this before? Should I call the OB or pedi? I have an appointment with my midwife on Monday and DD has an appointment with the pedi on Thursday but I don't think I can wait that long for relief.
Can I ask why you think you have it? I've been having some burning nipple pain recently after feedings and was wondering the same thing.
I have burning in between feedings despite a good latch (per my LC). There is also a little white residue on my nipples. I just called the OB and they agreed it is likely thrush on my nipples so they are sending a prescription for APNO to the pharmacy for me. Hopefully it helps

I has it once with DS1, I think I called the pedi for it, but I'm sure either the OB or the pedi could help. Hope you get some relief soon!

Awe, I'm sorry at least you're getting something to treat it before the weekend. Just a heads up... that's generally (I think) a cream that has to be made by the pharmacy... I really hope you don't have any issues getting it! It may be worth calling your pharmacy before making the trip in, just to make sure everything's all set and you don't waste a trip.

Yeah, they had to send it to a compounding pharmacy so I already called them and gave all my info. If I haven't heard back by 3:30, I'm going to call the midwife again. The pharmacy is open until 6 so hopefully I won't have a problem getting it today.

Is anyone else having major napping issues all of a sudden? E is 4 weeks now and yesterday and today she got 2 naps and evening naps then nighttime sleep was terrible. I can't even get her to fall asleep nursing today which is usually reliable! She's just staring at me...

Damn, I think I'm in the same boat. It's not too bad yet so I might wait until our appts. next week since it's too late today and I don't feel like dealing with on-call.
Hopefully the prescription clears it up quickly for you!

Yeah... E is usually cool to nap in his RNP during the day, but I can't put him down today. I know we're approaching leap 1. I remember having a hard time with C during this one... that's what I'm blaming it on.

Back from the pediatrician, R is up 1.5oz from Tuesday. I was hoping for a bit more but at least it's the right direction this time. Dr was satisfied but said to keep being annoying to try to keep him from falling asleep too quickly nursing.
Dr says he has a shorter tongue but no tongue or lip tie. Turns out one of the peds on staff is trained in doing revisions, but we don't need anything.
Another thought that came up was maybe the big weight gain the first few days home from the hospital was overstated somehow. Since it seems like he gained 8oz Friday to Tuesday when we came home, she's wondering if the Tuesday weight was overstated and maybe he's just slowly working back to birth weight still.
We have another check on Tuesday. FX for a good gain!

Im rushing through the house trying to pull things together. I have family coming over tomorrow to help which is awesome. We have a tentative date for a Tuesday homecoming. I'm hoping the new stroller system gets here in time since it's supposed to be delived... Tuesday. It's through amazon prime and we've never had issues with them but my inlaws have complained about things not coming on time.

So myself and both boys took a two hour nap this afternoon. It was amazing and will probably not happen again for a while. Needed it so bad after not sleeping last night.
We officially have October babies (at least here in the east) 😢
Hang in there ladies... I was you on my last bmb. DD1 was due on the 29th and wasn't born until the 8th of the next month. It has actually been fun having the youngest of the bunch because you get to see the developmental leaps coming before they hit your kid and everyone with older babies has already worked out some great advice for you!
