So much for Hurricane Matthew leaving the East Coast alone... schools are closed the rest of the week, and we're under a voluntary evacuation (for some it's mandatory). After my chiropractic appt, there were already lines at the gas stations.
I'm pumping in the car even though "the restroom is really nice and that's what everyone else uses." I'd like to tell them that I'll pump in a bathroom as soon as they start eating their lunch in there. I'm so sick of fighting this battle.
This is very upsetting! You should tell them that!

I'm in GA, just past the SC border. I have a friend who lives on the SC side and she said their school was canceled and then I saw it was statewide. Hope you don't get hit. Where my friend is they aren't even supposed to get rain until Friday and it's only a 50% chance, but they are required to cancel regardless. Stay safe!
Day three on the peds floor with E. Two observations: 1.) RSV is the WORST. 2.) Nurses are amazing and I really should have done something more productive with my life other than selling digital advertising.

peachesncream, I am so sorry about your classmate. Sending hugs your way.
@pennycandy, WTF? That stinks to pump in the bathroom (no pun intended). I don't understand why people think it's acceptable to pump or nurse in the bathroom.
I literally have the happiest, sickest kid on the block. He smiles through everything. Last week he had a stomach bug. Now he has a lower respiratory infection and an ear infection. On top of getting his nose sucked out by a machine, we went ahead and got his flu shot. He's sleeping, but he's probably hating me right now.

I seriously almost lost it at the eye doctor today. Why is it that I can be in and out of the OB or the pedi in 30 min or less and it costs $0 and the freakin eye doctor takes over 1.5 hrs and costs like $300. WTAF. I do not have time to sit in your waiting room all day.

I somehow missed that E was sick. Hope he feels better soon! Poor baby

I'm sorry that E is so sick. I hope he gets well soon and you all get to go home.
My supply continues to dwindle. My right boob produces an ounce at most now. I often don't even get enough for a full bottle. I'm torn between just saying eff it and weaning and trying to fix it so I just keep going. I wanted to make it until six months and I did that, but I'm having such a hard time letting go.

You didn't miss it! I posted on the fb group on Monday bc I suck at mobile tcf. Thanks for the well wishes! They say that today will be the worst of it. I think I already see a bit of improvement. I'm hopeful we can come home tomorrow!

I'm with you. I pump just enough some days and other days dip into freezer stash. I hate pumping but not ready to give it up.
This is our second day staying with my brother's family away from the coast, and I already feel spoiled... I can just ask my 13yo niece to watch or hold J while I go to the bathroom or feed the animals and it's awesome! (She has been helping with her sister who will be a year old in a couple days pretty much since her sister was born.) And J is okay with it too!
My niece has been getting out of school early all week for parent/teacher conference week. It is so hard to keep an autistic 7 year old quiet for an hour and a half while 2 toddlers and a baby nap! I'm so ready for next week when school gets out after naps are over.
Any other BFing moms suddenly chugging tons of water? I think K is sucking me dry...
I haven't stoppped since she was born. I drink about 120 oz a day and around 50 overnight. I feel like I'm gonna float away most of the time but so thirsty!

Bud had RSV at three months, so I really empathize with you--it broke my heart. Is he on medicated oxygen? Did they have to suction out his lungs? Is he on an IV or taking pedialyte or eating regularly again? Poor LO. Poor you. How far is the hospital?
