We did go to the mountains and had a great time. W slept only 30 minutes and not at all on the way back but he's all passed out now which is great. We had fried apple pies, great bbq, and did a little shopping. It was a really great family day and W had fun walking around all the different places and just walking up to people and smiling at them.
H let me sleep in after feeding w this morning and now we're hanging at the library. we may drive to the mountains and get bbq (and fried apple pies and cider and fresh picked apples) today buy we haven't decided.
packmomma, The consignment sale went pretty well. I know all my big items sold, so that's great. I don't really know how I did on clothing yet, but I did see a lady buying almost all of my 9 month girl stuff. Hopefully everything else sold well too. I expect that I probably made a few hundred dollars. I don't think I'll know until they send me the check in the mail, but tomorrow I have to pick up whatever didn't sell, so that might give me some idea.
I found a tricycle today for $10, a cute fleece strawberry Halloween costume for Abigail for $5, an adorable Thanksgiving outfit for $1.50, and a bunch of other clothes for cheap that will help round out some wardrobes. I only spent $30 and brought home a bunch of good stuff. All in all a successful day, though I'm exhausted because I had to get up at 5:30 this morning and I've been up super late for the past 4 nights. I can't wait to go to sleep tonight!
My kids are wearing their matching Halloween pajamas for the first time this season and they are so stinking cute. I think we may go to the pumpkin patch tomorrow morning.
Didn't get more than 30 minutes of sleep. Last time I looked at the clock was 504 and W woke up at 6. Me and my big mouth I told H that I would let him sleep in today because I know he's exhausted. Now I'm sofa king exhausted.
Hi— I've missed everyone! The social media blackout part of the whole life challenge is over! I'm up and on the Staten Island ferry, en rte to the start of my half marathon.
@betweenthelines, I hope you've gotten some sleep!
@janetheconquerer, glad you and your family are safe.
@mrspanpan, hope you feel better!
tuscanlatte, sounds like you will have a delicious T-Day spread!
packmomma, fried apple pies?! That sounds amazing.
Last night M's monitor was being weird and really had sounds crazy loud, so we just slept with his door open. Woke up this morning to him giggling. It's really the cutest sound to wake up to. His monitor did this once before ands was fine the next day, fx that's it.
Not much planned today. Homework asks family time. Might try to go on a walk. Lazy Sunday 😊
Happy weekend!!! DH and I made a TV stand for the living room yesterday (thank goodness we're going with a "rustic" look hahahaha) then had a stupid fight about politics but made up quickly. He says things just to get me riled up and it works every freaking time. *shakes fist at DH*
Made a decision last night that I've been spending way too much time on my phone (mainly FB). Soooo I decided to delete the FB app last night (I kept messenger though). Already this morning I feel...weird. I'm used to having my morning coffee and scrolling through my newsfeed and instead I just had coffee. Gonna give a few days to get used to it. I've been feeling myself getting increasingly "plugged in" and I don't like it!
packmomma Last night sounds awful. I hope your H takes W today so you can catch up on some sleep. Any idea why you couldn't sleep? Something on your mind? Caffeine late in the day?
th3stryck3r Good to see you here. Good luck today! I hope you have an easy run.
aydee I did have dr pepper with my dinner which we never do. So I'm hoping that was it. I just put W down for his nap (exactly 3 hours after he woke up) and now I'm going to sleep. I know H really needed this so I let him sleep in and I'm taking the rest of the day (or a large chunk of it to rest).I used to drink a pot of coffee a day I'm surprised a couple glasses of pop kept me up all night.
@janetheconquerer so glad to hear you had very little damage!
Things are good here with DS1. He seems to be on an upswing with his behaviour, so I will take it. Counseling is okay, we have some homework to do and then go back in a few weeks. I might see about accessing some individual counseling though. I feel like I have lost my confidence in many aspects of my life. Really did a lot of thinking and reflecting last night and I'm just feeling off. I think I'm getting 'lost' in my role as mother/wife/professional and need to find some balance for me time. I thinks it's good I'm identifying the problem so I work towards making it better.
This weekend is thanksgiving here. I'm hosting my family tomorrow. DH is playing in a Tournament this weekend and then going to a Jays game out of town tonight, so I need to clean and prep for tomorrow. We are also going to the thanksgiving/oktoberfest parade tomorrow and might find a pumpkin patch this afternoon.

I had such a good time at the wedding. It was great seeing family I don't get to see too often. And I actually don't feel too awful today. Maybe the vodka killed off some of my cold?! Ha
