I started weaning off Zoloft last week. I first took it after DD was born for a few months and successfully weaned off it. I went back on it during pregnancy with DS (25 mg) and upped to 50mg right before he was born. He's 4 months now and I felt ready to wean. However I think I've taken it much to fast. I was taking it every other day and missed a day and then decided what the hell I'll just stop altogether.
I'm thinking I should go back to every other day for at least another week then drop down to every 3 days.
Just looking for any thoughts, support, encouragement.
gahorseygal - I will echo @led 's questions. Have you spoken to your doctor? It can be really dangerous to self-wean off a medication because you can develop withdrawal symptoms. There also are usually set protocols on how to wean off medications in order to prevent any side effects.

My OB prescribed it but because I'm past 6 weeks PP they won't see me anymore for this. So I would have to see my PCP. Which I don't have one, I just got an appointment with the family doctor in the practice we take the kids to. So I'll go there Friday and discuss with them.
It was really off putting that my OB would prescribe a medication then tell me sorry, we can't see you about that anymore.

I understand their rationale but they should have at least met with you to discuss the symptoms.
