I had to look up what goulash is, lol. What I make is essentially like that, or chili mac? Idk, it's how we always had it growing up. And I know other people in the midwest who do it with noodles too. But yes, most people say no to noodles lol.

Mine has beef, black beans, chili beans, tomatoes, onions, and then the noodles. Cheese on top. It may be weird, but it's quite tasty imo.

Goulash doesn't have beans in it but otherwise same type of ingredients. It's not generally spicy though.

Growing up, my mom's chili was basically like a tomato soup with ground beef and beans (but no noodles, obviously). (I realize now that she added extra tomato sauce and some water to make it last longer). When DH and I were dating, I was so confused when he said he made chili, and then he served it to me on a plate, with a fork!
